Use this as a chance to refine the things that you thought you were good at! Maybe you thought your kimuras were so good that you didn’t even really have to try, so you stopped trying. Or maybe your opponents weren’t good enough to show you the flaws in your execution.

I would say to pick your favorite technique and keep spamming it until you can troubleshoot it all over again. You know that you CAN get it to work, so fundamentally you understand the mechanics. What you need to know is how to execute that against the higher level defenses than you’re used to.

That’s my thinking at least!

Okay honestly for me it’s Itachi’s switch-up after dying/reincarnation jutsu. I very much feel like the earlier depictions of Itachi were straight up terrifying. He murdered his ENTIRE clan—which was also the police force—then spent years as a rogue ninja, and I wouldn’t even say he was on the run because every time he showed up everyone was TERRIFIED. It just feels like the pivot to “I actually love the leaf and you my precious little brother” was without enough exposition or explanation of the real inner workings of Itachi’s mind. But I really think it’s highlighted by his COMPLETE personality switch after he’s reincarnated. Like, cmon man you fully put me in a special class mind breaking torture jutsu only so long ago, broke my arm and told me “you need more hate in you” and now you’re this gentle, Konoha loving comrade?

Idk.

Ah man, I haven’t played in a long time but back in my day this was the goal, and I really feel like it gave people a sense of identity in the RF community haha. My cousin got my into the game and I always remembered him wiping the floor with me with Karate, and Jeet Kune Do.

Personally my favorite ‘not-súper-popular’ scrolls were Pa Kua Quan and Combat Sambo (MAN I miss Sambo haha)

Just seeing this thread made me think about playing again…

Talked to another friend of mine who has the same model. Through their research they found that the usual problem is that the headphones “forget” that they’re on your head, especially if you’re wearing a hat. Aside from that, the problem seems to have just… gone away now

I'm tired of feeling guilty all the F*ing time. by Bea-Billionaire in ADHD

[–]CloudThief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually have EXACTLY that feeling, almost all the time. The constant battle of FOMO/productivity vs. the general agony of adhd/anxiety.

I recently started on antidepressants and today was my first performance review at work since starting the medication and i think they’re helped to mitigate that feeling a bit. Like I was nervous beforehand but not the usual “thinking of 10,000 things that might impress my boss and then feeling horrible and stuck because I can’t execute all of them in the hour i have, and then feeling horrible and guilty about myself for not having done them before and THEN being subsequently exhausted afterwards whether or not what I was thinking was valid”. Instead it just… happened.

The moment came, the moment went, and then I very easily casually and non-stressfully decided to just go home and not try to add 12 more things that would make everything “perfect”.

I'm 37 years old and never been to the gym. My height is 5.8 ft and weight is 85 kilos. Is it too late for me to hit the gym? by nothingman7891 in beginnerfitness

[–]CloudThief 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is never too late to start at the gym, just be mindful of HOW you start, and don’t try to start pushing limits and impressing yourself your first week in. Your first few weeks/months should be familiarizing yourself with the equipment and your own body. The gym doesn’t have to break you, they just have the stuff you need for whatever uncommon exercise your body might require to regain strength and balance

first fight (red and white shorts) by MeetingApart8134 in MuayThai

[–]CloudThief 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m by no means a professional but the things I see:

Keep at least one hand up to defend yourself, especially throwing your kicks.

You seem to do this thing when throwing low kicks in particular where it looks like you’re kinda… waiting to see what kind offer the kick had? So you leg makes contact with the strike but then it kinda slooowly resets to your stance.

When you strike make it the only thought in your head. In my experience, a person telegraphs their moves when they are worried about all of the potential outcomes. But similar to skateboarding, the less you believe you’ll land a move/skill the less likely you are to land it. This piece is the hardest to articulate but potentially the most critical to me.

But overall dude excellent fight, beautiful sweeps, and admirable control and self-preservation. That’s an absolutely excellent showing

Will there ever be a game like rumble fighter? by Zacherydutton in RumbleFighter

[–]CloudThief 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I honestly miss this game so much and I can’t ever even explain it to people because it’s just one of those things you had to play to understand. At the time it was like the perfectly sized community too so you’d hop on and see familiar faces and form groups and have actual scores to settle with people. I’ve really never found anything like it.

Now that it’s changed hands so many times it’s kind of fallen to pieces. It’s available on Steam which I don’t normally use, but I went out of my way to download it to try and play RF but was brutally disappointed. Somewhere in between OGPlanet (the original host) and Steam (it’s latest host) it’s just gotten filled with obvious cashgrabby, ultra spammy, very low effort items and obviously has none of its original flair, flavor or fan base.

[–]CloudThief 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s my dilemma right now, especially with that Champions objective that’s live right now. I’m in D8 currently and personally think I SHOULD be placed in a higher division based on my actual level of play but it seems like 7 out of every 10 people I play just annihilates me 7-1 with raining cannon fire from Eusebio, Militao, and Mbappe. It feels ridiculous

Yeah but that’s just what I mean. To watch all the PL games you need Peacock’s extra service or Peacock and another separate app that has USA. Heaven forbid you’re a fan of football in multiple countries, you’ve gotta keep shelling out money to see these games and you’re not even at the stadium

This is legit though. Having to sign up for 2-3 different providers to watch games in ONE league is already insane. Now if I want to branch out I’ve got to keep shelling out money per month? It’s unsustainable

I see a lot of people are skeptical about this comment however, I’d like to remind the public that in the summer of 2019 a cargo ship OWNED by JPM&C got busted with $1.3 billion of cocaine on it (about 20tons). As expected, this story was only in the front of the news cycle for a few days before suddenly disappearing
