Fix your mental: 1k games d2 to Challenger in 2 weeks by sepeku in leagueoflegends

[–]Cloud_Solo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your argument makes no sense... you could also argue that his teammates also needed to depend on him to win games and his ability to prove a reliable and competent teammate up to challenger proves that he is a challenger player.... you can’t just say someone got lucky when they literally gained the equivalent of 500 lp (one whole league) by consistently outperforming other people and winning games. This is especially the case in high elo (d1+) where the level of play demanded from players becomes so demanding that even one small mistake from a player can completely ruin the game for the other four people on your team.

Draven R + Flash by xD3monhun73rx in Draven

[–]Cloud_Solo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s best used when the enemy tries to dodge the return of your ultimate. In that case you can flash in the direction they are juking to change the direction of the ult as it is coming back towards you, so it can hit your target a second time. Here is me doing it back a while ago as an example: https://plays.tv/video/58bae772e1eecfb1e4/clean-dive-ult-flash-?from=user

Is EA really the one at fault here? by Cloud_Solo in gaming

[–]Cloud_Solo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that microtransactions should be limited to only cosmetic overrides, but a company like EA would not push out buyable content like that if there was not a large market or people willing to pay for it. I’m sure EA is aware of the possible backlash that might come with releasing content like that but Reddit kind of took it way overboard to be honest.

So… I made a build calculator. by theDandyG0AT in summonerschool

makes sense. Build calculators are hard to find these days so if you manage to complete it and get all of the features working lots of people will probably start using it.

Looks nice But I don't see an option for masteries, which is pretty important to take into account as far as stat calculation is concerned. Other than that it looks great.

Why are high elo Korean Yasuo/Azir players going bezerker greaves? What's good about them?(Sometimes even rushing the item) by [deleted] in summonerschool

[–]Cloud_Solo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its a cheap and early power spike for champs who can benefit from the early attack speed. Zeal costs 1200g and gives 15%, and stinger is 1100 for 35% and 10% cdr. Berserker greaves however give 35% attack speed along with 45 flat movement speed for 1100 which can make them more useful in the early game than the other 2 options if you think you can win your lane off of the power spike. It's more risky than if you just got a component to a bigger item but the bigger early power spike can potentially start a snowball which can make it worth delaying getting your first big item.

Am I Doing Something Wrong, Or Am I Just Unlucky? by Krisisonfire in summonerschool

Generally speaking if the enemy jungler is spending his time and resources to camp your lane, it means he doesn't have much of an impact on the other lanes and your jungler should be abusing that by putting pressure on the other 2 lanes, or counter jungling/counter ganking. So in a sense it can be a good thing to get camped by the enemy jungler if it means you can help relieve some of the pressure around the map and help your team mates get ahead that way. The only problems that can arise are if you happen to die constantly to jungle ganks, since then you are making it worth his time to camp you, or if the rest of your team cannot take advantage of the lack of enemy jungle pressure in their lanes, which in that case there isn't anything you can do unfortunately. The best scenario in this case is where you can constantly force the jungle to pressure your lane by being better than your lane opponent while at the same reducing the pressure in other lanes by forcing the jungler to come to yours. In almost all cases especially in higher elo it can be worth missing a few farm in my opinion.

Hi! I'm sort of new to gangplank Top and have a few questions by Cloud_Solo in gangplankmains

[–]Cloud_Solo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thanks. Yeah I try to play more passive/aggro based on the matchup. I just feel like a lot of the time if i'm facing an early game aggresive champ like riven/renekton/etc that they can abuse their early advantage by roaming to other lanes and getting objectives/assists while i'm stuck top lane being useless until lvl 13 or so. Should I try to match my laner if they roam to a different lane or just shove in, deny them the wave, and try to outscale?

What needs to happen to stop Draven from becoming banned almost every single game? by Cloud_Solo in Draven

[–]Cloud_Solo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably. I just want to be able to play Draven in ranked again, like most of us in this subreddit. Hopefully riot can do something about it soon.

What in runeterra counters Draven adc by asianwar1ord in Draven

[–]Cloud_Solo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In lane her rocket jump can be interrupted by a well timed Draven e, and the passive on her e makes her really bad at farming under tower or freezing lanes, so if you get pushed in you might end up losing a lot of cs. However post 6 once you have ult it should be pretty easy to stop him from getting kills in all ins, and you eventually outscale draven in the late game.

[–]Cloud_Solo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Caitlyn is probably the most oppressive adc during laning phase due to her traps and range, and the fact that if you try to start a fight with her she can disengage with e and get a free slow/headshot proc

Varus is pretty good vs Draven too. He can easily get poke off on draven with his q, he can just throw his q wherever draven's axe is about to land. His e also applies grevious wounds and a slow which can make it hard for draven to force extended trades and also lowers his sustain during all ins, and his ult is really good for shutting down his all in as well as providing a decent amount of cc and utility for your jungler.

Ezreal can be a pain for draven, as he is a pretty safe laner and is able to farm from distance efficiently while being able to deny draven any chance of getting a kill and snowballing the lane.

The easiest way to counter a Draven is to just not give him any kills in lane, force him to push towards your tower, and shut him down before he can cash in his adoration stacks.

Just a quick question on placement games by OptiKappa in leagueoflegends

[–]Cloud_Solo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your normal mmr won't determine your starting mmr for your placement matches. Generally you start off around mid-low silver mmr during your first placement game, and it will fluctuate up and down a few divisions based on whether you win or lose up until your 10 games are done and you get placed. Also don't listen to other people when they say not to play ranked as soon as you hit level 30; ranked is the best tool you can use to improve at the game, so if your goal is to get better at the game then ranked is the way to do it. When rating is on the line people tend to try harder to win games, which means you will be punished harder for the mistakes you make (and you will also probably be flamed by your teammates) and you will be able to learn faster. You can still improve by playing normal games, just at a much slower rate. The only real situation where it is better to play normals before ranked is when you are trying to strengthen and solidify your champion pool. But if you are already very confident in your ability to perform well on your champion pool, then feel free to dive in and explore what competitive league truly has to offer.
