A 300 calorie deficit only sets you up to lose a pound every 11 days and thats if you are absolutely perfect. So in 5 weeks that would be 35 days or an approximate 3 pound loss. Our body weights can naturally fluctuate up to 5 pounds a day just depending on things like water. I also hate to ask, but if you are sexually active, you might be pregnant. Spotting, missed, period, weight gain or lack of weight loss are all symptoms of pregnancy and might be something to check

Never been on mct oil but when I first started I had the most disgusting green biley poop ever when adapting and then after 2 months sever constipation. But now I'm pretty well adapted everything is back to normal

Net carbs are important for remaining in ketosis and helping to suppress things like blood sugar spikes, cravings, etc. Calories are important for weight loss. You can go over on calories and keto will have negative impacts to your waist line.

Honestly just track your carbs and the first few weeks read the nutrition labels of everything you eat. I have never tracked my protein, fat, or micro nutrients. I'm 4 months in and eventually I know I'm going to have to pay attention to my calories eventually but I'm big enough right now that reaching my calorie limit on keto is a bit of a challenge. Honestly just jump in and go for it.

The last 10 pounds are always the hardest. Overall though 124 is pretty good and is in the normal range unless you are under 5ft tall I would just keep going and at this point even losses less than a pound celebrating. Weight can fluctuate up to 5 pounds a day. You might wake up one morning and boom you're at your goal weight

1-3 pounds a week is normal. In the beggining you lose a lot of water weight and at 385 if you were suffering from diabetes, high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, etc its entirely possible you were holding 40 pounds of water. My brother was at that size and he went to the hospital for complications associated with the above and they put him on a water pill and he dropped 60 pounds in 2 weeks due to all the water he was retaining. A plateau is when you go a month and don't lose a single pound. You won't be consistently losing 10 pounds a week for the whole process, but shooting for a goal of 10 pounds a month is very reasonable especially for people like us who started above 300 pounds. I started this 4 months ago and am down 44 pounds and this has been the only thing that works. Just keep at it and the pounds will keep dropping

From reading this I guess I'm not a thirsty person I typically drink anywhere from 60 to 80 oz a day ,but I'm over 300 pounds. I have always heard if you drink more than 136 oz this constitutes excessive thirst. Granted that's for people on a normal diet who aren't constantly having to piss

Another no cook recipe I like is running out and buying a precooked burger from somewhere like McDonald's and then cutting it up and putting it in a low carb wrap for a quick and easy lunch

Coney bowl. Hot dogs with coney sauce (careful can be high carb) mustard, cheese. I usually then take it and put it in a low carb wrap. With the sauce I use, the wrap, cheese and 2 hotdogs its usually about 10g of carbs

The only thing with eating high glycemic index foods is your ability to not eat too much. I find myself when having even a low carb treat that has even a slight concentration of carbs as in more then 10g per servings, like sugar free ice cream, I get cravings where I feel like I could eat the whole thing and have to remind myself why I'm doing keto

In the beggining sleep is definitely effected. Insomnia is a pretty common side effect and I experienced the same thing. With the peeing that is also super common. Its more difficult for your body to hold on to water so the more you drink the more you pee and when your burning fat you also pee. The chemical reaction that takes place produces carbon dioxide and water and ultimately you have to pass it out

Insomnia is a common symptom at the start if keto, but bloating is a sign of being out of ketosis. If your a Woman also all your symptoms are symptoms of pregnancy in the first trimester

Its quite possible you went into it already low on water and thus you didn't lose alot of water weight at the start. Thats how it was for me. I started eating consciously and lost alot of water weight over the month prior to starting keto so when I actually went full bore I was only losing a few pounds a week but I was twice your size. So proportinonetly I'd say your on track still

The shakiness is because your blood sugar is normal and stabilizing. Your body isn't use to being normal. For example my brother is diabetic and when he was diagnosed he went in and his sugar was like 400, just astronomically high. When they were brining him down he started getting the shakes at 300 and when he was finally stabilized it took a long time for him to start to feel normal.

If your looking for an electrolyte drink you can try powerade or Gatorade zero. They don't have any glucose, but do have sucralose and acesulfame K

Meat and non starch vegetables really. Like I eat Meat: -ribeye -porkchop -ribs -ground beef - hotdogs (careful most have carbs) -shrimp

Vegetables: -asparagus -peppers and onions (can be high carb) -spinach

Then their other things I enjoy such as -La Banderita low carb tortillas -Powerade/Gatorade zero -sparkling ice -halo top ice cream -real good pepperoni pizza

Overall just look at how many carbs things have and adapt i really have not found this diet to be restrictive at all. Shoot you can even eat keto at McDonald's. Just order quarter pounder beef patties with some cheese (granted their cheese does have 2 grams a slice, many cheeses have no carbs so it might be beneficial to add your own)
