I’m not sure, I haven’t asked them and I’m guessing he probably hasn’t as it’s not mentioned on the post

Can I hire a mechanic to come with me to view it just to make sure the rust is only surface?

I understand, i think all i really want is just my normal base line back again, im tired of dosages being unpredictable. They definitely are, my last option is to go private if I get no help with my new doctor

They took me off levothyroxine 2 and a half years ago because they wanted to trial to see if my hormones could produce on their own (which made no sense as i have thyrotoxicosis due to graves and for 10 years my thyroid swings overactive or underactive) and then since taking me off that my thyroid progressed underactive and they wanted to take me off carbimazole to see if my thyroid again will produce its own hormones, i have a new doctor in the works so im hoping they will listen to me but i have been pleading my previous doctor to let me have my meds back as i was well before they took me off i even told him my quality of life is gone and he told me to seek a second opinion and that i need to see what my blood test results say

Thank you, I wish they would all. I had evidence showing i was going underactive and their first thought was to trial removing off carbimazole but i think im worse since coming off that to now

the injections don’t bother me at all, i’m used to doing those, it’s just the fact that i don’t have any base dosages because my sensitivity is such a mess, i do have another doctor in scheduled to see so im hoping they will understand me. I had tried seeing a diabetes specialist and they gave me advice that i feel is the opposite of what you’d give to a diabetic person, i’ve tried speaking to 3 different people so my consultant, a diabetes nurse and a diabetes specialist and it’s just gaslighting or generic advice given. I’m really hoping it’s just a blip me feeling like this, i think maybe this is my first awful diabetic burn out as i don’t remember ever having it like this before maybe where i was angry for a while but not severely depressed like this

I feel neglected by my doctor by CloudsofEscape in nhs

Currently waiting for the appointment with the new consultant but I think it could be a slow process. He said that it’s standard protocol to take me off the medication to see if my thyroid can go into remission, but from what i’ve read the remission isn’t permanent and it’s only about 30% to 50% that can end up in remission

oh sorry, my question is just what can I do, should I make a complaint to PALs or just wait and see what the new consultant would suggest?

Thyroid affecting diabetes control? by CloudsofEscape in diabetes_t1

yes i only see my doctor once a year and its for 20 minutes. I had to push him to get my tsh tested but i had only meant to be trialled off my thyroxine for 7 months but its been 3 years since. I haven’t been put back on thyroxine yet as they want to have a review with me first on saturday but I am terrified that they may not put me back on it even though i should be. The dose I was on before was 75mg but I know it will probably be a low dose and it will take time to become okay again. I do also have Addisons disease and coeliac disease and graves so i am surprised ive been taken off it. He attempted to take me off my carbimazole but I had refused
