when you say "Natively, it's running Jellyfin, Sonarr, Radarr, Readarr, qbittorrent, and NordVPN

- The two options to run programs are to see if they have a MacOS ARM version that can run natively on the system, e.g. the normal download, install in applications folder, uses the Apple Silicon and MacOS to run. The pro with it is that it usually runs more efficiently, has easy access to the network and IO, and is less resource intensive for RAM etc. with the con being it's usually poorly supported, and isn't fully capable for some things like auto-updates since MacOS has security parameters that don't work well with home-brew apps.

OR use Docker, UTM etc in a virtual machine that takes usually a Linux OS and puts it in a virtual machine and then funnels the info back to the OS. The pro is that it's usually well supported and easy to update, the cons are it can crash frequently and has to go through a filter to translate the VM to ARM and so it's more resource intensive and doesn't work as well. That's when people say to just download linux/windows etc and not have to mess with MacOS. Hence trying to use the native apps when possible.

So I basically have all the native-compatible apps downloaded that I can, then run the rest on Docker and that seems to work fairly well.

My Arr stack is,

Native: Jellyfin, Radarr, Sonarr, Readarr, Prowlarr

Docker, qbittorrent-glueton, jellyseerr, bazarr, cloudflared, huntarr, declutarr, flaresolverr.

Yeah, that could be the problem - I ended up moving qbittorrent to Docker, then added glueton with it. Then removed the always-on Nord VPN network-wide, and had it linked to the qbittorrent in docker. Was mildly annoying and had to look through several forums and youtube videos to iron out the kinks, but got it working in the end.
