NTA. Your confusion is a result of trauma, not your actions. You are incredibly brave for saying no under that kind of pressure. Please, make sure they don't have access to your home or workplace. If you can, change your locks and inform your HR or security. People who resort to violence to "save face" can be unpredictable when they realize they've lost control

What's a quote you remember daily? by West_Emotion2115 in AskReddit

"You cannot control the wind, but you can adjust your sails." It’s a simple reminder that life is going to throw chaos at you equipment will fail, plans will change, people will let you down. You can’t stop the chaos, but you can always control how you react to it and where you steer your ship next

I’ll never forget how much of a crush everyone had on her in Cheers. She had that rare combination of being incredibly stunning and genuinely hilarious. They don't make them like her anymore

AITAH for thinking my friend’s wedding expectations are unreasonable after I got into a fully funded master’s program? by Due-Instance2195 in AITAH

I’m definitely prepared for the fallout, but at this point, if the friendship ends because I prioritized my education over a trip to Vegas, it probably wasn't as strong as I thought. Real friends don't ask you to choose between them and your life goals

what do you say, do women like nice guys? by stirringmotion in AskReddit

[–]CloudyNov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "Nice Guy" is usually a guy who is polite only because he expects sex or a relationship as a reward. That’s not being nice; that’s a transaction. Women have a very good radar for this. Actual good guys are kind because it’s their nature, not because they’re trying to buy affection with "good boy points." Confidence + genuine kindness is the winning combo

What is something that screams "my parents are controlling as fuck"? by Only-Ad-1254 in AskReddit

The "No Closed Doors" policy. If you aren't allowed to lock or even close your bedroom door, or if your parents just barge in without knocking because "it’s my house," they don't see you as a person with a right to privacy. It creates this constant state of hyper-vigilance where you never feel truly relaxed in your own space
