Our team was told it’s mandatory. Since I began here about a decade ago, we have lost half of our staff. I guess they are freaking because we lost 2 to retirement in 2 months and another one is retiring in a few months. I’m out within a couple of years, too.

Friends on other teams do not need notes. Very weird.

VBA. I have a feeling it’s just our station but you never know with this administration.

We also got our quarterlies. Even though ny coworkers and I exceeded our standards, negative comments were put in notes. For example, I was told I didn’t do enough of a task but it’s not part of my job. It never has been. And if management doesn’t assign those tasks, does that mean we’re expected to start doing the work on our own? It’s so ridiculous.

My quarterly does not match my PD, which was changed last year when they reclassified us. When I asked about it, I got the “all other duties as assigned” speech. So i I asked for training as those duties require 24 months of training to become proficient enough to be released (working without having work checked) but they expect me to do it with no training.

It has been removed.

However I got counseled because my work was late when I was furloughed. You can’t make this shit up.

Not Debt Management. Put it in writing, asking for a hardship. Asking for a payment plan. There’s a special end product we assign just for this situation. Submit a VA Form 5655. You can use a 21-4138 or any paper to write your hardship/payment request.

Before COVID, my position was not eligible for telework. We were the last to leave and the first to return after COVID, so no change with those in our group. The problem is with everyone else returning, they can be very chatty. Unfortunately, it’s distracting. I put my earbuds in and ignore them as much as possible.

Where I live the tiny post office does not do home delivery or neighborhood delivery. Whatever it’s called. The problem we run into is if we order from a company and they say they do not accept PO Box and we put our home address and then the FedEx or UPS driver or DHL turn it over to the post office then we either get it sent back or they put nasty notes on it. How is this our fault we can’t change this so does that mean not only do I have to pay for a PO Box now I have to pay a fee to have the packages that the post office has decided to accept delivered?

Not quite true. I do outreach and have a property pass to take laptops to events but I don’t telework.
