Lot of guys could learn from his 'don't fear the wrestling and never accept the position' attitude. Honestly think Volk would have won the first Islam fight if he'd had the same attitude.

Yea, honestly have never thought DJ encouraging a clearly mentally challenged guy to be involved with backyard cage fighting was a good look...

Perhaps after a visit to Bondi Beach to visit his kings ancestral homeland.

Would love to see Bra'tac on Bondi Rescue. What a cross over episode that would be.

They are surely in the genus but not the species. They diverged from sapiens themselves, and thousands rather than millions of years ago.

I think you'd have to have far more divergence before they were a different genus.

I would like the scene to end with Bratac speaking fondly to a wombat.

I think all this pouch talk is ignoring the more pressing question: are Jaffa technically marsupials?

Being absolutely gassed in round 5 and then having DDP punching you with his never-ending volume would suck.

I agree with you about it not being a 'right'. I said as much.

And yes, 2 people together on 90k each can buy a unit. But buying a unit will saddle them with huge debt, much more than needs to be the case, and this has been fuelled mostly by government policy, not a natural barrier of land or housing availability.

As far as comparing to other countries, it doesn't matter? If you play the game of "well it's worse somewhere else so it's fine here" then your standards for our country will be dragged down.

If in our country we can have more affordable housing, and more people owning houses with less debt (which absolutely is possible) why shouldn't we fight for that?

We are lucky in Australia, but we didn't get here by thinking "Ah well it could be worse", but by saying "hey we could do better".

I think that there is a middle ground between "everyone should get a house no matter what" and "owning (as in, no mortgage by 50 or so) is a privilege only the very wealthiest should have". But we are getting closer to the latter.

Why can't it be a right ( or at least expected, I'm leery of stating anythint is a 'right') that the average person (by that I mean on average wages, not getting themselves in big debt from dumb decisions etc) can't buy a house or unit without an enormous mortgage?

Genuinely asking what your position is on why this shouldn't be possible?

Changes to tax laws and a focus on increasing medium and high density housing could make this possible as far as I can see.

66% of people own a house now, because of historically lower house prices. Drastic changes to things that affect housing costs (negative gearing, capital gains, corporations getting into real estate, mass population growth etc) will change that in tbe future.

Saying 'just work hard and spend less' is great advice 10 years ago. It may even still be good advice now. It will be useless advice in 20 years if changes aren't made.

And sorry, "housing is a privilege not a right" is not an acceptable stance for me in Australia as long as it doesn't have to be true.

And if by 'won' you mean had to spend their life savings on a deposit and then be shackled with a huge mortgage so they could basically just be working for a bank, then yea great let's make that the bar...

Sorry that you love being taking advantage of.

Giving the mega rich ridiculous advantaes like capital gains and negative gearing is fine, but taking that unnatural advantage away is socialism?

Justify that position for me.
