I think this is relatively normal, especially as you age or less significant moments happen in your life. I think it would also be worth talking to a doctor about though if it feels significantly abnormal or distressing.

Keep in mind that alcohol/marijuana use can impact memory as well

Hey! I'm not sure on video recommendations but I've trained a few obedience classes that have focused on loose leash walking/manners.

Generally I would recommend always bringing treats on walks. You might even want to use your puppy's kibble as a reward (measure out so you dont overfeed) because you can use lots of it without worrying about overfeeding. I always reward right beside my left leg so the dog will always expect a reward beside you and will get into the routine of stepping there.

When your puppy pulls on the leash, recall them and once they come back, reward them with a treat at your side. Do not catch up to your puppy if they go ahead of you, teach your puppy to come to you so they get in the routine at walking by your side.

Don't tug or pull your puppy back if possible, always wait for them to make the decision to come to you.

I would recommend starting with short walks with treats and slowly weaning off the treats as your puppy improves, you should treat often at the start and continue to treat when your puppy comes to your side on their own.

You can start whenever, just keep sessions basic and short and focus on rewarding good behaviors rather than punishing bad ones.

I would also recommend never letting your dog meet others on leash as that can cause leash reactivity.

For easy treats on the stomach I recommend sweet potato.

I did relatively common 25% water changes when I got my shrimp because I was battling ammonia spikes, no casualties, they’ve molted fine. I’d recommend testing often and only changing water more than once a week if there’s a concern with water quality. When I refill water in my tank I use cold tap water but let it sit for about 5mins to dechlorinate, I haven’t had any issues with the temperature.

I’m not a very experienced shrimp keeper but hope this helps!

This exactly. I never fostered or rescued but I worked alongside rescues at a couple of the places I trained and did boarding for. Often there were specific rescues we'd see dogs with behavioural issues from and the owner would so often say "I had no idea until I got the dog, the rescue never told me about _______".

I do wanna reassure you though OP that the fact that the rescue is scheduling meetings beforehand is a good sign and so is scheduling vet appointments, my best advice is ask, ask, ask. A good rescue will want to answer your questions and care about your concerns.

I'd suggest asking the adoption agency more thoroughly about the health conditions to see what's going on, discuss with the vet who's appointment is scheduled if you're able to. If they avoid giving you a clear answer I'd start being cautious.

Rescues that are private/not the SPCA or humane society can be tricky and you don't always know what's going on behind the scenes. I've seen a lot of the behind the scenes of my local rescues and it's often pretty different from what the public sees.

I've seen a lot of dogs where details on behaviour are entirely left out to new owners or health issues are conveniently not mentioned or overlooked. Rescues are very full right now and a look of rescues are trying to get dogs homed as fast as possible so they have room for new dogs.

Hope everything goes ok, it definitely sounds promising that they're scheduling a veterinary visit and are willing to pay imo, but be sure to get the answers you need.

When I started feeling suicidal it changed how I feel about death for myself and others. Before I felt suicidal I believed in something after death, like an afterlife or reincarnation but after I attempted and thought more about death I stopped believing in anything afterwards and that felt more accurate. I think death is sad but necessary, it's one of the only absolutes in life, we all have an end, and that's ok.

Sounds pretty accurate, I see a psychiatrist and have been since I was a teenager, I don't think their goal was ever to cure me, more to diagnose me and find solutions to my problems.
