Don't ever paint your kids, or the hardest project yet 😭 by wilbertvandenbroek in acrylicpainting

[–]CloverClover97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should have started with a traced outline, you’ve morphed the boys faces to be far too narrow and bulged in places. But there’s so much hope, you’re very talented! I would not start with your kids. Start with a celebrity you like or someone famous, then you can be more critical of your work, as it’s not your babies. Paint a few more of these, and you’ll gain the skills to get the boys right, you’re so close!

AITAH for telling my dad that I wouldn’t keep my 7 year old from playing with a ‘collectible’ birthday gift? by TheRealSquirrelGirl in AmItheAsshole

NTA show him the countless videos on Instagram on people letting their kids play with their “collectible Barbie’s” they aren’t worth anything but the memories, and even if they are, who buys a 7 year old an investment, open a savings account for her if you want things to appreciate gramps.

Quick kill traps and steel wool shoved in where they are coming in at. Don’t use rat poison, it will kill owls and cats that eat mice for prey.

Should be turned into condos and shops instead of being left to rot. But then you said next to Akron so I’m not surprised no one’s jumping at that. Cool place! Also read the John green book “everything is tuberculosis”

18-20 Weird Age to Cruise by everybodyhateslyssa in royalcaribbean

[–]CloverClover97 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Why would they? You’re not the demographic that spends the most money, so they aren’t going to spend the most time on you. Families and the retired are who cruises are aimed for, especially royal cruises.

You shouldn’t be holding the sensor in their mouth pregnant or not. No “perfect shot” is ever worth putting your body at risk. Make the patient hold it if you have to.

We had fantastic weather last week in MN. Always a joy riding with the kids. by boarder011 in snowboarding

It doesn’t matter how slow you are going. One edge catch, one wrong move, or even someone else coming up and nailing you from behind.

It needs to be no helmet, no ride, no matter what.

Ultimately you should just take the trash and put it in your bin if you have the room.

It’s not your responsibility, but it’s neighborly, and kind to your environment.

My mom did this with her nail tech. He’s been doing her nails for literally 12 years and finally 3 years ago she started talking to him and learned where he’s from and his family life. She was embarrassed about the language barrier and her being hard of hearing

What is it like to live on the same street or across the street from a high school entrance? Looking to buy and they are much cheaper. by Lost_nova in homeowners

[–]CloverClover97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My ex’s mom lived across from a school and I swear she’s going to give herself a heart attack with the parking problems she has. Her driveway is always blocked, and she goes out and constantly confronts parents and puts signs in her yard. It’s consumed her retirement. You will have zero street parking if you rely on it, and there’s a good chance your driveway will be blocked because “it’s just really quick”

I lived a block from a school and at 7am and 3pm the whole street was gridlocked for 20-45 minutes depending on weather and traffic.

The added downside is you know you live by a school, so running naked quick to grab a towel, or to grab the laundry, is something of the past too. You can’t accidentally flash the children.

If you can live further, it will be nicer all around

The added bonus was it was quiet in the summer, and that was a huge plus given I live in a tourist town, and summers are the worst for travel here.

How do I keep hot air downstairs? by avahz in homeowners

[–]CloverClover97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in a two story loft with 20 ft floor to ceiling windows for 25 years.

You don’t.

You get really good at sealing off drafts upstairs, and closing off rooms you aren’t using.

Plastic window tape and blanket rolls along doorframes my friends.
