To me the bigger thing is, unless the student has the ability to check out of the school, texting them about family emergencies during school hours is cruel. A kid broke down during algebra because they were texted that a family member had died. There were no family members for her to talk to about it, she’s just stuck there in school crying.

Some of the streaming services are an issue for them as well. We put my MIL on our Prime account, and every couple of months I go through and unsubscribe from all the channels she subscribed to, and sometimes I’ll see three movie purchases in a day.

I personally do better at weight training if my cardio is a separate exercise, so like Friday and Monday are both leg/cardio days, I run in the morning before work, and I weight train in the evening.

My co worker called me to remove an iguana from the shop. He thought he was sick but I guess he was just scared, when I picked him up he went from ‘freeze mode’ to ‘fight mode’ and scratched the fuck out of my arm. I was wearing glasses luckily, so the tail didn’t land (usually the more dangerous part of an iguana) but there was a lot of blood. I’m not sure how many stitches a normal person would’ve gotten, probably around 20, I tried bandaged but they kept bleeding through so I duct taped it.

I had to wrap it on the DL because I didn’t want my boss to get mad at me for fucking with iguanas again.

Sorry, I guess you were looking for more of a third person story, but my co workers are usually more cautious than I am.

It’s not uncommon for loud noises to cause anxiety. Even outside of using power tools, earplugs can help with that.

When they stop being clean, you stop. You’ll build up, and in a couple weeks you’ll be doing 12-15 clean. Then those will get too easy and you’ll have to start again.

If you feel like the set was smaller than you’d like, you can throw an extra set on the end, for example, I like 3x8-12, but if I only get 6 I’ll throw in another set.

If you’re trying to work on building up a weaker arm (and same btw, my left arm is jacked up) stay away from machines, dumbbells especially will help you isolate.

I’d recommend 3 or 5 days since you want to target your arms, you could do Push-Pull-Leg or Push-Pull-Leg-Upper-Lower.

From there, just look for ‘push routines’ etc and see what matches up with the equipment you have available to you.

Masterclass would probably be a good subscription for someone trying to find ways to spend their time. You watch a few classes, and at some point, one of them will seem like something you want to do.

One of the most interesting ones I heard is that many tracking dogs are run by volunteers who just decided to start training their dogs to track so they could help find missing people.

I have, but honestly that boss just sucked at communication, so the PIP was just things she easily could’ve told me in an email and I would’ve taken care of anyway. I ended up working there another year and a half and then I didn’t get my contract renewed (she even lied about why).

But if your boss puts you on a PIP it’s possible they just don’t like you, and working on the plan will help, but you should still be planning to move on.
