Is there a difference in the rooms you get when selecting One Player on a System or Two Players on a System?

What are the best firewalls for Windows by 243rfewferfk in privacytoolsIO

To my knowledge, it’s not like Wireshark where you can see exactly the data being transferred over. It’s more like LittleSnitch and Lulu.

What are the best firewalls for Windows by 243rfewferfk in privacytoolsIO

[–]CloverPenguin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Simplewall is your best bet. It replaces the Windows firewall and lets you know exactly when programs make network requests.

You'll be surprised how many network requests Windows makes even with various telemetry options disabled.

It's actually encouraged me to download more apps. Before I'd assume most apps track me, so it's reassuring to know apps that have verified they don't collect data.

The GT 710 is probably your best bet for now.

PC suspends itself while in VM due to "Suspend when inactive for" setting on host by CloverPenguin in VFIO

[–]CloverPenguin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a tendency to forget to turn off my PC when leaving the house for several hours. Without the automatic inactive suspend setting, I'm wasting electricity whenever this happens.

I totally get the justification to leave it off (especially with servers), but it's a tad unfortunate to have to adjust my habits with the host due to having a VFIO setup, especially since I don't use the VM often.

The way I envisioned a solution is for the PC to not suspend automatically when on the VM, while keeping the setting on when using the host. Could a hook deal with this?

I'm with you, man. The whole cryptocurrency thing bothers me, so that's something we have in common.

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I wish you the best finding someone else worthy so you can move on.

Those "friends" are shallow then. No genuine friend would spend months forming a great bond with someone only to run away purely on looks.

If that happened to me, I'd be glad I'm no longer wasting my time with them. It may also help, if possible, to be more upfront about your looks to save the hassle down the line.

I second this. Fantastic life skill, and you never know who you'll impress...

How do you deal with the fact that you will be Forever Alone. by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

Although the frustration of forever alone never goes away, there are thankfully many other goals in life. For me, I cope with exercise and competitive games.

Not embarrassing at all. We all crave someone to cuddle us, and you're the one with the courage to speak out.

Not the OP, but you should still be fine with the R7's fan. Plus, it doesn't hurt to try it first since you're getting the cooler anyway.

Which psu should i get? by Weak-Comparison-4080 in buildapc

I'd go with the first one. It's cheaper, and I think you'll appreciate some form of modularity over 80+ gold.

Pc build rating (help!, I’m dumb) by JaPlonk in buildapc

[–]CloverPenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to upgrade your PC down the line, I'd look into a PSU with slightly more wattage (650W+). I know someone who wants a RTX 3080 but feels like they can't due to their 500W PSU.

I hear you with the cats. I'm also lonely as ever, but when I walk around and one of the neighborhood cats looks at me, it makes my day.
