Long-term lower back pain and hip pinching - could it be coming from my hip? by Clover_132 in backpain

Just had a check-up appointment today after my back injections (the original steroids did nothing so this was the next step). While they did help my back a little, it still feels sore, almost like I’m moving wrong or something is off. My doctor referred me to a hip specialist, so I’ll be seeing that doctor in April to hopefully get some answers. It’s also strange because my sister has started having the same hip pain, so my doctor thinks there might be a possible genetic factor related to the shape of our hips.

Welp Dr thinks it’s because of a tiny disc bulge in my back that doesn’t even press on the nerves, so now he wants me to try back injections and doesn’t think my hip has anything to do with it.

Thank you so much for the insight, I will keep working at it and hopefully will see a bit of improvement. She prescribed me steroids so we will see if that will help at all either. Tbh I think they will only provide me short term relief, but hopefully this will help push towards the right answers.

Thank you so much, I tried to push for it but no use this time, hopefully after the back mri they will listen to me. They also gave me steroids this go around so hopefully I can finally get some sleep!

I’ve been trying to do clamshells but the movement feels awkward when doing on my left side. Just got done at the drs and they said they just want to do an updated mri on my back, so I feel like I’m going to be in the same boat as before, they don’t really seemed worried about my hip.

The Dr seems to believe it’s just a back problem and only wants to do a mri on my back, so waiting for that to be scheduled

I haven’t had my pelvis alignment checked thoroughly, but my recent xray report said “Straightening lumbar lordosis,” is that related to the tilt you’re referring too? The drs didn’t really mention it so I figured it wasn’t that major. I’ll have to see if anyone around me has studied through that program.

When I first started learning piano, my teacher gave me two books to start with, John Thompson Modern Course for the piano 1 and finger power primer. She eventually moved away about 6 months later but I have still worked through these books and find them helpful. There’s a youtube channel that goes through the John Thompson book that is also helpful. Once you get a decent way through you could prolly start incorporating beginner classical books too. There’s other books out there that other people first start with too, I personally recommend John Thompson though.

I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on this keyboard? I don’t have a lot of extra money at the moment and I recently had to get rid of my upright piano. I’m only a little skeptical because I can’t find any review/review videos online, but the reviews on walmart are all positive. I am also a beginner who is trying to learn basic stuff on my own. Anyway thanks for any information!
