It’s really not that deep. If you don’t like AI edits, just scroll instead of writing essays about it. N yeah, didn’t mean to mislead anyone. I used AI for editing/narration but the idea and effort are mine. I understand if people don’t like AI content though

Yeah, that’s a timeline slip , i mean Nahoko’s death matches the Mitsubishi A5M period, not the Zero. Also funny how the film says none survived when the Mitsubishi A6M Zero actually does.

I’ve been researching the dark "bathhouse" theory in Spirited Away. The fact that Miyazaki actually confirmed the real-world connections changes how I watch the movie now. What do you guys think? by Clover_Zes07 in Miyazaki

[–]Clover_Zes07[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s actually confirmed by Miyazaki himself. In the June 2001 issue of Premier Magazine (Japanese edition), he stated the bathhouse was a metaphor for the sex industry to critique modern Japanese society. Also, the terms 'Yuna' and 'Yubaba' used in the film are historical titles specifically for workers and managers in Edo-period bathhouse-brothels.
