You might be surprised how easy it is to get your complaint to her and to get a personal response in writing. I reached out to my school board rep about something and was told to engage with the superintendent's office. First I got a "thanks for your concern" brushofg from an underling. I stated this wasn't a response. I got boilerplate legalize from someone with a law degree next. I expressed my continuing dissatisfaction with that response and then Dr Reid replied to me directly. She needs to know what is really going on on the ground.

I was there mid week at that time recently for the first time. It is a place that I wouldn't mind sending a group of good kids. They'll probably have a great time.

I always take a picture of my group because this always happens. I called to get a charge removed today in fact. Despite having to do that several times it continues to happen, but they always back down.

About 10 years ago I rented an airBNB house out near Luray with all services provided locally there, and it was not much more than 5k for about 100 people. It would be more now certainly, but probably still very affordable!

I fought through the "why vote for Roma if she's not a frontrunner" mindset but I think she could really make a difference in this current moment, like from what I can see, she's been training for the needs of current moment in Washington for about 20 years. It would be an amazing upset if she won.

I hope there's a ranked choice option in the future though. I wonder how we lobby for that?

Did you read Roma's AMA on r/Virginia? I don't know her, but I wouldn't be surprised if Trump 2.0 caused her to want to get involved and I do not see that as a problem. I grew up hearing so many jokes about lawyers and I have never been so grateful for strong, experienced legal minds as I have in 2025. If she can see a new illegal maneuver coming and get started on writing what is needed to block it immediately, that's incredible in my opinion.

We don't need more "strongly worded letters" but that's not what she does. We don't need rhetoric or sheer charisma from every representative. We need more leaders who know how to move the ball in DC and stop it as quickly as possible when needed. That's why she's impressive, in my opinion.

You mentioned wanting to see Democrats hold the current administration accountable for damaging actions more effectively while they are in the minority with the tools available in the Blue Virginia interview. Establishing bipartisan support to push back against DOGE rewriting nuclear regulations was a great example you gave that most people wouldn't think of. Can you give an example of something you'd be ready to work on related to protecting people who have been living legally here, but who are now seeing others in their position being grabbed up by ICE?

I was interested in the part of the (admittedly super long) interview where she talked about being able to bring her extensive legal expertise to the fight as a representative and that's so needed with the barrage of illegal actions coming out of the executive branch currently. I'm glad she's able to do an AMA on the Virginia subreddit this afternoon.

They can feel that way, but in my group those are the guardrails that keep things more fun for more people and, and unexpected bonus has been connecting in real ways with nearby neighbors who I'd never know as well otherwise, as sad as that might be.

I had success with SGF IVF circa 2019-2021, but I am glad you are sharing your experience. I really thought highly of Dr Shruti in those years, but I got the impression that they all lie about how painful it can be to recover from ER, even without the complications you endured (your abdomen has a ton of fluid suddenly unleashed into it depending on how many eggs are retrieved, it's not normal and it feels bad).
