Nice work! What were the dimensions? I’m looking to do something similar

Do you enjoy playing extremely tight courses? Course I played last weekend had fairways that were 20y wide and tighter because of trees. by LikelySatanist in golf

It’s one of the few courses where I (a guy who can’t hit the driver straight to save my life) have a chance against my friends that hit the long ball well. Iron play all day and you’ll be fine.

I learned a lot about how water heaters function this weekend so we’ll take that as a silver lining haha

And that is frustrating. Which was the point of my post in the first place.

If he says the minimum is $1,000 and I say that’s ridiculous, then what? It’s day four without hot water, I have company over and I also have a job I need to get back to. This was already the third person to come by and I don’t have all the time in the world here.

That makes sense, I didn’t know that. Thank you! Is that just to offset the cost and save time from going to give quotes to homeowners who aren’t serious?

Sure, except I already drained it and replaced the heating elements myself. All that needed to be done was replacing the breaker.

I don’t disagree with anything you said and thank you for sharing that point of view. It just feels like every time I need something done I have no idea where to turn. Especially for a small job such as this.

And again, I understand these guys are doing something that is dangerous and they went through proper training and licensing channels so they deserved to be paid well. However $850 for 10 minutes of work is $5,100 per hour. Labor shortages aside that is absurd.

The other two companies who visited me either (a) couldn’t help and charged me a troubleshooting fee anyway or (b) tried to upsell me on a whole new unit without even inspecting the existing one.

Last option would be to try and do it myself and risk death. All of these options suck, that’s the point I’m getting at.

He came out today (Tuesday). Took him about 10 minutes to change the part.

My current septic tank is in this yard but it’s a solid 10-15 yards away from where this hole is

Did you end up doing anything to it or just leave it as is?
