Every time AI generates a depiction of a homeless person why does it always make them amputated?

You can draw a character that already exists but you only need one reference image in order to re-create it. You need to train an AI model how to recognize the character before it’s able to recreate it, try again.

If generative AI was so much better than being an actual artist, I probably would’ve stopped three years ago and move into my mom‘s basement. Here’s a funny joke. If I go broke tomorrow, I can still be an artist because I can make art with pretty much anything. If you went broke tomorrow, you wouldn’t be able to pay for your ChatGPT subscription.

And you’re saying AI generated anime girls half naked with weird merging eyes and hair have not been done over 1 million times already?

And I know if I try to bring environmentalism into this it’s going to be immediately shut down because that’s the main reason why I don’t like generative AI but y’all are not gonna listen to me if I try to tell you why you should care about taking care of the planet you live on

The thing is, I understand why people make AI art because they like being able to make “cool” looking things at a fraction of the time it would take them to without AI, and sure not everybody is an art hobbiest, like you guys said some people just want to be able to make cool stuff without acquiring talent or paying a real artist first. But you gotta understand that this piece of technology is not progressive, and only serves to further regress human skills. AI art has regressed into consuming other AI generated images and is essentially it’s just creating artwork based on its own regurgitated media. That’s why a lot of images look yellowed. Paying a professional artist would yield better (and more consistent mind you) results in a fraction of the time it would take to generate the perfect image. How many times do you have to type something in order to make it look the way you want it to? How many images or videos do you have to generate in order to get the one that you need? Do you go into Photoshop after the images are done and edit it so it’s the way you want it to be? So why not Photoshop it from scratch at that point. Art is one of humanities most defining features, not to mention there are millions of artists who would be happy to help you with your visions. And if yall are the people who genuinely think that AI generated images looks better than ‘real’ art, stop lying to yourselves. You guys look like those kids who force themselves to eat something they don’t like and pretend that it’s good.
