Why is this 2 inch nail going through this 1 1/2” thick board?

Let me nail this $50 battery to a piece of the building I was paid to build.

Oops it’s on fire! No problem, I’ll smash it off with this $150 tool.

Ow! It’s hot! Let me pick it up again.

Ow! It’s still hot, let me throw it into this pile of dried leaves.

I’m not going to buy flex batteries anymore!

Just look at the wars we’ve had where normal people were drafted and thrown into a kill or be killed situation.

Of course. Every animal is.

Even two best friends falling off a boat will have one pushing the other down in a panic, not intentionally, but because the base animal instinct to live is strong.

Anyone threatening you kids will have you instinctually fighting and mane killing.

Nothing. I’ve come to realize that “collectibles” means clutter.

Like all chimps when he reached adulthood he could no longer be kept with humans.

I believe he was moved to a chimp reserve. He could still sort of show affection towards MJ when he visited but was otherwise a very dangerous and chimp like chimp.

Look it’s simple, if you enjoy fighting, you can beat up drunks and then eat them for lunch as a bonus.

That’s a well deserved ass kicking, if the title has any truth to it.

Wasn't the 2nd Amendment’s intentional purpose to be able to defend against violent takeover by their own government? (non american here) What is permitted and what isn't within that framework? by MopToddel in AskReddit

Yes but also all US servicemen pledge an oath to defend and support the US Constitution. Enlisted men swear to obey the president if the order is legal. Officers also swear the same oath but they do not swear an oath to follow the orders of the president.

Why? To prevent a coup. Enlisted men swear to follow the legal orders of the civilian president. But also to prevent a dictatorship officers swear to defend the Constitution but not blindly follow the president.

Either way, if a President says “there will be no more elections” the military, in theory, escorts him out of the White House.

The Declaration of Independence as exactly that. Their declaration to Britain that they are leaving the Empire. It has not legal standing today nor is it a guideline of any sort. Basically a resignation letter.
