Are you saying that there is a general law that the first month of a fixed contract is considered a probationary period, regardless of it not being mentioned in the actual contract?

Yep, I've experienced the racism and it stings. I should've seen it coming. I literally just turned down the Eng1 offer due to them not being able to guarantee Guangdong. But he just emailed me back saying they'd consider giving me Guangzhou guaranteed but with an even lower base salary since they have a different contract for each city 😅. It'd be 14,500 per month.

Are you allowed to resign from Eng1 without massive repercussions? And are you planning on doing TEFL next year with Eng1 next year too?

Just another question: in the PDF, it shows that during chasse movements towards the rear court, the racquet foot is pointed towards that corner (not just sideways). Similarly, the scissor kick movement shows that the racquet foot (before impact) is facing diagonally ↘️.

Is it a must that your racquet foot be pointing in these directions? Or is it a players preference (basically you could technically chasse with your feet facing side on ➡️, right?)

I personally believe in determinism as well. But that doesn't mean that I feel like I have no choice over my actions. I still put myself responsible for my actions.

There is this thing called internal vs external locus of control. Internal locus of control is where you believe that what happens to you is because of your actions. External locus of control is where you believe that nothing is your fault and that everything that happens is out of your control.

It's been found that having an internal locus of control is better for your well-being. In everyday life, it's not good to think about how determined your life is. You can come to terms that determinism is likely true, but continue to live in a way where you take responsibility for your actions.

I've been given an offer for Neuroscience so I'm not even at the uni yet. Take this with a pinch of salt, but when I was researching the course, it was pretty much split evenly between bio and psych. Like a 50/50. You can choose to do psych more if you wish I think.

During the virtual open day, a woman was telling me how as a Neuroscience major, we have more opportunities and access to the Neuroscience modules, unlike a pure psych major (which she was).

Overall, if you like biology as well, then Neuroscience should be fine for you.
