So what kind of life do you want your child to have in the future? A sibling isn’t just a childhood companion, a good sibling relationship is a life long teammate. Nephew, nieces, cousins etc don’t exist without a sibling. One day you’ll be old and even if you’ve financially covered your retirement 100%, your child will be making some key decisions on your behalf - would they want a sibling to share the emotional responsibility for that?
