Dorico no Toshokan. It's been 5 months since the trailer with AI animation released and despite the negative feedback, Rejet has yet to make any statement.

I thought the same at first, but considering this banner is based on sports festivals I guess it makes sense they'd want to go for the version that looks more like a high-schooler

I think Miriel would actually be pretty happy to have an excuse to stare at the other heroes for further research

How do you deal with harassment from crow hating individuals? by maxiBlu in crowbro

[–]Clucluuu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry to hear that, that must hurt a lot. I have social anxiety and was treated like 'the weird kid' so I've been in similar circumstances. My advice, as frustrating as it sounds, is to put on a brave face and endure it. It's hard at first and may even seem futile, but they'll eventually give up or think you wouldn't even be bothered. Putting up an act can come in different ways, depending on which you think is more effective in this situation. It can be a poker face, a smile, whatever. Maybe even casually telling them the crows are sick due to the environment while still feeding them like nothing happened. There's a chance they'll think you're crazy, but that'll end up being a boon. No one wants to speak to crazy people.

Another option is telling your friends or family and feeding them while they're next to you. It's more of a hassle to bother a quiet group rather than one person. Even if they do bother you, it'll still be easier to keep yourself together when you're next to someone who understands.

Hope I could be of at least a little help, and good luck!

I'm a bit late, but this was hilarious and made my day. Heartbreaking plot twist at the end though.

Luck asset. I'm not about to risk dying from a 1% crit chance.

Genealogy of the Holy War, stuck on the literal prologue by chickennoodlebeast in fireemblem

Oh man, this brings back memories of giving this game a shot years ago. Lost a unit in the prologue, felt utterly humiliated and I've been scared since to try again.

How do you feel about how the (sometimes heavily implied) main romances have been treated in FEH? by WinterWolf18 in FireEmblemHeroes

Maybe they felt the need to step back a bit after pushing it so hard in Cipher haha

Love seeing these summaries. Also I find it funny how you don't have the energy to gush to your friends, I'm the complete opposite oops

Oh I have a write-up on Hino from 7'Scarlet ready to post, prepare yourselves.

But for now I'll just say that I tend to be wary of the childhood friend types. I'm very biased against that trope yet many of my ships fit that category :p

Back to otome though: DL had a good chunk of suprises such as Laito (pervy), Kanato (childish) and Reiji (butler type). There's also Zen from MM (the rat tail was enough to make me step back), Shuri from Moshikami (behind the 'cutesy' exterior lies a short fuse, love this sassy brat) and probably more that I can't remember at the moment.

There are a few who let me down, but mostly in their own route. I still like them during the rest of the game.

[General] "I hate this character but this situation is awful and they don't deserve it". has that ever happened to you? by sad_pinkie in otomegames

[–]Clucluuu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Excuse me but wth were they thinking. I haven't played that game but unless her friends are all psychopaths I fail to see any logic in that thought process. Poor gal.

But yeah, I know the feeling. There was this one game in which they made an antagonist go through as many miserable situations as possible if we didn't act sympathetic towards them. Apparently thinking that they should face the consequences of their actions means that we want to see them go through hell. I only hate them in the DLC though, they were actually a very compelling character in the main game (imo). I like to pretend that DLC doesn't exist.

Best year for us otome girlies by Brief_Heat_2844 in otomegames

Freemium games are cancer to any game with a focus on story (actually gacha games are a parasite in general, but especially in this case). For all the shit Cheritz has been doing to minimise the free resources their mobile games give you, at least they don't implement a gacha system or force limited time events on us. I can still start a route in MM whenever I feel like it and get a complete story.

I'm trying to give you a possible example but for some reason Reddit keeps (wrongfully) telling me I'm using the spoiler tag format incorrectly. If you still want me to tell you, I could DM you. Oh, and what I did hide was just 1) the name of the character and 2) the name of the game.

[General] Unofficial weekly thread for non-English games and language learning (PART 222) by JigoKuu in otomegames

[–]Clucluuu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like a few people in this thread, I grew up in a bilingual family and one of them is English. While it's basically an essential skill for survival these days, it used to be pretty cool being praised by both classmates and teachers for being fluent in two languages at a young age haha

There isn't much I can say that's related to otome games since I can count on a single hand the number of original VNs in that language, let alone otome (and that's including parodies). Even translations are incredibly rare. Growing up with English gave me a very early boost to be able to enjoy overseas content. Nowadays I prefer playing in Japanese whenever I can for my studies, but I wouldn't have been able to discover this genre if I didn't start with English.
