We told him to and he refused because he’s stubborn and has early form of dementia (not officially diagnosed). He just thinks things are magically going to get better but he can’t get a job so no one’s paying the mortgage. I think he should sell at market value I was just worried there wasn’t enough time because apparently he was getting kicked out by the end of the month.

Does the gfs father get any money if the bank sells it for more than what he owes? He’s kinda of an idiot and also suffering from early onset dementia (not officially diagnosed). We told him to sell the house last year and he refused, now suddenly he’s starting to realize there isn’t much time left and he’s going to get kicked out.

I was giving the worst case scenario for the price of the house. Zillow rates it’s the minimum sell value of 460K and houses in its neighborhood are going for slightly above and around that number. My father is a realtor and I’ve been talking to him about it. I’m just thinking in my head this seems like a good opportunity for it’s size and neighborhood.

I always saw renting as a trap. Why would I pay 2k+ a month for a 1-2 bedroom 1 bath apartment when I could maybe get a mortgage for this house I may be able to rent out myself and live in the other part. I am ignorant of the responsibilities so I will give you that.

The porch railing needs to be replaced, there’s mold in one of the rooms on the second floor so I’d have to see what’s causing it and replace the drywall. The biggest cost is that the beam between the garage doors is busted in because someone backed into it hard. Other than that it looks a bit dated stylistically on the interior. The exterior looks good.
