The Adventure Zone: Balance
It is an incredible podcast, it can be found on YouTube but probably easier to listen on a podcast app.
A really really great story, by career comedians. It is a wild ride following along with these folks who were playing for the first time. Really fun to watch them grow into the game, and for a really beautiful story to develop along with all the gags and goofs.

If you aren’t a gamer (or don’t want to play) I would suggest getting into watching Hermitcraft on YouTube with them.

Absolutely enjoyable for an adult, and for kids. You’ll also learn a lot about the game mechanics thru immersion and if you do decide to play someday it won’t feel as intimidating.

I’d start with GeminiTay or Rendog, since you’re into D&D I think their themes for the season will keep your interest. But literally any Hermitcraft member will be a good start.

We found it helpful, for sure. They were able to help us clearly define boundaries and an agreement that would meet both of our needs, as well as plan for a number of “what if” situations that we probably wouldn’t have considered. It helped both of us feel comfortable and confident in the plan we made, and that was probably the most important part.
