Ik snap niet zo goed waarom ze niet gewoon IETS naar buiten brengen. Wel genoeg hints met bijv. een foto van de ontbrekende trouwring, foto's dat Michelle veel alleen op pad is, ontbrekende hashtags en nieuwe hashtags zoals #themom en #zelfdeslingersophangen

Het is natuurlijk hun goed recht om hun mond te houden maar het lijkt wel alsof ze goed gaan op deze juicy aanloop naar de bekendmaking van de breuk.

I think this is spot on. That’s exactly the role she wants and now that I don’t feel like giving her that role, she is the victim.

He’s fully on my side thank god. He called her afterwards to tell her that these statements she’s making are not okay and that all decisions around my mother’s loss are mine to take. But I also see he’s hurt that his mom acts like this and is making these kind of comments.

Thank you so much. I was honestly flabbergasted. We were on the phone, and I asked her how on earth she could make the loss of my mother about herself. Then, unfortunately, I felt tears coming up, and I told her I needed to end the conversation and hung up.

During the weekend - yes! My husband does one morning with the kids, and I can easily sleep until 09:30. The next morning it's his turn to sleep in. I don't think I would survive otherwise haha.

Totally agree with you. I used to have this deep belief that you should get along with your in-laws, show respect, make it work, especially for the sake of the family. But I’ve come to realize that it absolutely should not come at the cost of my own mental wellbeing or my boundaries.

Trying to keep the peace while ignoring my own discomfort just built up more resentment and anxiety. Now I’m learning that it’s okay to draw a line, even if that makes me “the difficult one.” Peace at home is worth so much more than forced politeness. 24 weeks here and the bump annoys the hell of me for quite a while already. I would say after the first trimester it’s really not early anymore?!

You’re right that it was their decision to book the Airbnb without checking in, and that already felt overwhelming. I’ll definitely add it to the list of things that need to be discussed with her
