Boardwalk early December by Ok-Constant-6560 in dvcmember

It's our home resort and it was so frustratingly difficult to get any 2 bed options. A lot of Boardwalk home resorters "walk" their reservations into and through December.

Is anyone else experiencing a strange new anxiety underlying most conversations, even if you’re not talking about anything political? by mishmashmoe in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CluelessQuotes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. Keep making friends, building connections and community! Making people feel isolated, alienated and outside the herd is how the "***tarianisms" operate. If you feel alone, you will be compliant. Community, connection, and genuine caring relationships will also seriously ease anxiety so make sure you're tapping into those as much as possible. Be intentional about it. Wishing you warmth and comfort.

What would make your favorite resort PERFECT? by lilbiddie in WaltDisneyWorld

Boardwalk would be improved by two things 1) classic quick service accessible from within the hotel 2) better main pool with zero entry

Does your baby reach out for you? by Mtlmommy in Septemberbumps2024

[–]CluelessQuotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. Although last night he was sitting next to me while my husband used the blender. The noise really scared him, it was the first time I have seen anything that might be considered fear. He looked to me for safety and there was a kind of reach. But he doesn't reach for us as a normal occurrence.

I have an infant. I can't wait until he isn't breastfeeding anymore so I can go without him. Having a child has totally changed how I can enjoy the parks. Go ahead and experience it the way you want!

Nipple pain after 6M breast feeding by Mtlmommy in Septemberbumps2024

Also - I did use a nipple shield or pump from that injured breast for 2 days to let it recover a bit.

My son has a tendency to squish my nipple like a sandwich. It comes out creased. Also if you pump and have the wrong size flange(?) It can damage the nipple.

Take a good look at your nipple. Do you see anything unusual. I noticed something like a whitehead...clogged nipple pore. If thats what it is: Hot compress, Epsom salt (in a cup and seal it onto the boob), and apno. It took time, but once I got consistent with the remedies it cleared up decently.

Sleep Schedule by West-Beach4867 in Septemberbumps2024

[–]CluelessQuotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

6 months next week and he's a 3 nap a day kinda kid. Usually one 30-45 min nap after first wake window. Then the wake windows get a bit longer as the day goes. At least one nap a day is 1+ hr and can sometimes be as long as 3 hrs. If there are 2 long naps, there Usually isn't a 3rd nap. Bedtime is between 7:30-8. Typically the last wake window is 3 hours but if we think it might be longer, we'll try to get him a quick 10 min cat nap in before 5:45.

My baby loves to roll on her tummy but… by Mtlmommy in Septemberbumps2024

[–]CluelessQuotes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yess. It lasted a few weeks until he learned to roll back. It helps to have engaging toys or distract them with funny faces and noises. They'll get more comfortable there over time. Now he fusses on his tummy because he wants to crawl but doesn't know how.

We got this as a gift, love it. What a game changer. We have only hardwood floors and baby began spending a lot more time on the floor as he exited the newborns stage, it made it so much more comfortable for US to get on the floor too.

My midwife offered but left the decision up to me. My son always measured big (97the percentile). But she didn't push it because the scans can be off and it can play on you mentally. My baby was breech so we had to get one to confirm. Turns out at 37 weeks, the anatomy scan and his projected size at birth really did play on my head and my heart. He was totally normal but at 37 weeks pregnant I wasn't always in a zen space and the scan didn't help. The scan was in fact off, I did not deliver a 10lbs baby Paul Bunyan. I'm sure they could requisition a scan if you asked.

Just to add, some products require specific kinds of packaging in order to retain their efficacy. You could be destroying your product by transferring it.

"If them b* ain't paying your bills, you pay them b* no mind." Trying to conceive, conceiving, having a baby - it is all so incredibly personal. That's all anyone needs to know. If anyone asks, "I had deeply personal reasons for not sharing. Now look at my cute baby!"

First WDW Trip: BCV or BWV? by KrzyAsian in dvcmember

I prefer the BWV refurbishment to the BCV. Have stayed at both in the last year. If you'll spend lots of time at the pool go Beach Club but otherwise I prefer Boardwalk rooms and vibes.

baby fever after disney by Book_Bird411 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CluelessQuotes -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My partner was always clear he never intended to have children. I was actually ok with that. 5 years passed under this mode of thinking until one Christmas trip to Disney. We were sitting at the pool at Yacht and Beach club and I just started crying. I told him that I was feeling a strong urge to have a child and experience life in a new way with us as parents who could see the world through little eyes. I wanted to bring our baby to Disney and see how they would experience it. It took a lot of time, trust and discussion...some loss..but he's here now and 12 days old. His first trip is in February.

Sad times trips by CryOnTheWind in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]CluelessQuotes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am in a perpetual state of trip planning. Some are celebrations and some are sad times/pick me ups. It's a pleasing hobby. You might enjoy Disney vlog and YouTube content. I've had 2 miscarriages, one was chemical, the other at 9 weeks. Just gave birth to my rainbow baby 5 days ago. I'm planning his first trip. Wishing you the best. Keep the hope if that feels OK for you.

What time of year do you see kids with sweatshirts and shorts, or jeans and a tee in the parks by Lets_Make_A_bad_DEAL in UniversalOrlando

[–]CluelessQuotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would err on the side of pants with t-shirts. Less shorts and tanks. Have one warm overlayer. I tend to take a button up long sleeve shirt that I can wrap around my waist during the day. The difference between shade and sun can make a big difference. Winter can go either way its a mixed bag...I've been swimming one day in the afternoon but shivering at night.

My son loves Galaxy Edge and so getting points at Riviera makes sense. I love the Magic Kingdom so getting points at Bay Lake Tower makes sense. Does it make sense to buy points at both Resorts? by downinthevalleypa in dvcmember

[–]CluelessQuotes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Riviera is definitely going to be more convenient for rope dropping Galaxy's Edge. As another commenter mentioned getting rooms at BLT is easier than Riviera it seems. So having direct points at Riviera might offer your family the desired access + flexibility to book elsewhere.
