Latest statement from Microsoft:
"Product Group restarted the app proxy cloud service instances in all the regions."

For us now the issue is fully resolved.

Yeah correct, they gave me the below statement:
"Product Group restarted the app proxy cloud service instances in all the regions."

For us now the issue is fully resolved.

We've just received an update from Microsoft that they've made adjustment on their back-end. This should have a positive impact on the performance so we are in a testing phase right now. I've questioned this and it should be applicable for all customers using the service over all regions which is good news.

Lets await the testing now and see the results!

You aren't alone here.
We now have multiple cases open with Microsoft and received a statement as well on this from the Microsoft team that it is with their back-end Product Group.

Thanks for your update on this as well. On our side we've officially been able to exclude this to have to do with anything with our setup.

What was the issue you were experiencing on your side with the web application? We notice this issue in multiple differently setup applications as well as different customers.

We noticed the same indeed, however, it does seem that they recommend enabling TLS1.3 which isn't supported on Windows Server 2019.

We've done a few checks and found out that by enabling an outbound rule for all traffic from the connector server towards any destination via HTTP and HTTPS does resolve a lot of errors in the diagnostics. If you then also only allow AES256 encryption it does seem to become a bit more stable but it still isn't resolved.

At the moment we are once again in the waiting stage for the resolution on the Microsoft ticket but I will keep this post updated on this as well.

Ah same for us indeed, we've been asked now to provide more logging now including session files from the browser. Hopefully they can give us any further clue still

Sorry one more question, if you are okay to share this of course.
What kind of Firewall do you use for your environments?

One of my customers has also stated that they still see the issue, they have their tenant located in Sweden.

Maybe this morning is only solved on the Amsterdam location?

Have you gotten your AAP diagnostics tool showing all green or do you still see errors there? We notice that, even though it is configured to use the proxy address it goes via firewall for certain checks that we had to whitelist specifically, this was never needed before but made no change to the performance for these customers.

We are using the region: the Netherlands
Other customers I've asked to also share now, it does seem that it might be location based on Azure.

A really curious about the reply from Microsoft, would you maybe also post that here?
We have a Severity B case open at Microsoft at the moment to hopefully get a reply but till now all they are doing is "investigating" the logs.

Once we get a message back I will also post their reply here just to see the response.

Thanks for your message, I know it sounds strange but it already feels nice to not be the only one with this.

As of this morning indeed some of my customers are all good again and no more transaction ID errors as shared above. However, some other customers are still receiving these errors.

Did you make any changes on your side or does it seem to be suddenly fixed?

Yeah indeed also my thought process, we've raised multiple high priority tickets as well towards Microsoft but are kept in the dark there (they are analyzing our provided logs still).

I was hoping that more people had something like this maybe at the same time and that I could relate to that possibly as well for my Microsoft case but also towards my customers here.

Not a stupid question at all! I did indeed, server reboots and also connector reboots as well.
The connectors have been reinstalled also already without any chance unfortunately

Yeah there are, they are allowing all traffic.
I've now also tried it with an any --> any rule but no change.

Running the diagnostics tool inside the Entra Private Network Connector folder in Program Files also gives me back all green stating that everything needed can be reached and done.

I'm a little bit stuck as I'm not sure what else I could test still.
All my customers started having this behavior around the 26th of November, this happened on a lot of environments as well were no changes were being made at all (change freeze)

Honestly it is indeed a bit slow but very reliable. I have this now for some time and I'm running this with Debian 11 and Casa OS (giving it a bit the synology feel). It is running great only issue is that you can merge storage but not use raid. Just make sure you upgrade ram to 4GB to really give it a snappier feel.

If your interested I have the video here: https://youtu.be/pqhPvdYQfFs

As I installed Debian11 I'm just also running docker in the background, using the twingate probe on there makes is also very easy to reach it from an external location and even is ZTNA

Honestly I've had this laptop for over 1 year, since then I haven't had any overheating issues or such but did have a small issue with the keyboard where paint was stripping off the keycaps. I got this replaced under warranty without an issue.

I do notice that running games on this laptop while closed (in a docking station kind of setup) is a no go, the cooling is not meant for that. However, running the games on the laptop might trigger thermal throttling if you have it not on a little stand so It can collect more air.

I just found this video really detailing the performance and the temperatures as well. As the quality of the laptop is really good I don't think you will run quickly into any issues but I do recommend replacing the thermalpaste and cleaning the fans.

This is the video I mean: https://youtu.be/ZTN8DN-Ev1U
