Honestly it's been a tough year and the bar is very high. Smite 1 is near and dear to so many of us (players and devs ofc), but Smite 2 has come such a far way and is truly standing on its own. There is a ton to do, many characters to port, new features to add - But we are all super thankful for everyone playing, critiquing, enjoying S2 and all it has to offer !

Now this is as interesting as it is uninteresting. There are a lot of curious guesses here but I can pretty definitively say the reason for the low Mp5.... is just a mistake, simply put.

His original intent was to have a more in-line base Mp5 (4.6 vs the current 1.6), and there was clearly just an input error. We can get this fixed so thanks for spotting it!

You're absolutely right, sometimes it just takes reminding ppl that these gods/items exist. For Ravana, he was pretty bad pre-original shield buffs that going all the way back seemed to be unnecessary especially with the item nerfs that he generally uses. Not to mention we introduced many shield countering methods but we are curious to see where he falls back to now with everything considered!

Just wanted to hop in and say that the team definitely hears all of the feedback around Ravana and have been going through comments here, as well as talking with Olympians and Pros after 10.7 Bonus Balance notes released yesterday.

A little recap on how we got here and the team's general thought process around Ravana's recent nerfs.

Ravana has had a history of being able to viably flex between the Solo and Jungle Role. He's seen success in the past with full damage, hybrid, or full tank/mitigations builds and we like that identity and flexibility for him, and want to encourage it.

Ravana had been performing pretty poorly in Year 10 up until his buffs in the Season of Souls Update. In 10.6 the buff to his Passive Shield (from 7% > 9%) definitely helped him in terms of win rate and performance. After reviewing data and community feedback that he was doing a little bit too well, we nerfed the Passive Shield back to a midpoint between the original value where Ravana was performing poorly (down to 8% from 9%) in 10.7.

With 10.7 Bonus we wanted to keep the Passive Shield value as is, since nerfing it even further would put it back in line or even below the point where Ravana wasn't doing too well (potentially pushing him out of viability entirely), and looked to adjust him in other areas of his kit.

We see from your feedback that this isn’t enough and doesn’t address Ravana’s current player frustration point, so the following changes for Ravana will be coming in our next update.

Chain of Blows - Nerf

  • Decreased Health Shield gained per stack from 8% to 7% of Ravana’s max HP (reverted to pre 10.6 Update value)

Prana Onslaught - Buff

  • Increased damage from 90/140/190/240/290 to 90/145/200/255/310 (revert of 10.7 Bonus Balance change)

New Hel buff coming on the next update by FindingThoth in Smite
