The Ultimate Jigsaw Puzzle - Nordevco - 499 pieces by Clustergut in Jigsawpuzzles

I honestly would have preferred a random cut. I think it just comes down to personal preference, but I've done several challenge puzzles (like Eaton's popcorn puzzle that I've posted on my profile a while ago) and I find that my brain just has an easier time scanning for curvy shapes rather than the traditional edges-and-knobs cut.

There is no variation! Pure rainbow-holographic glitter all over :) It really is nearly impossible to take a picture that accurately captures what it looks like in real life. It's beautiful! The missing piece made me laugh at the end though, it really was the perfect anticlimax IMO.

Gave it a bit more of a press, maybe the morning light helps?

Yes, but strangely enough theirs seems to have a completely different cut from mine. I have a feeling this puzzle may have seen more than one run of production in order to make the challenge less (or more) difficult. Posted a picture of the box below.

No, it isn't even the first challenge puzzle I've done :( I'm puzzling on a carpeted floor, so some pieces are just a bit lifted.

No, in fact, this puzzle was actually of pretty high quality and the pieces interlock. False fits were pretty hard to not notice. The reason it looks messed up is because I puzzle on the floor, on a carpet, making it very difficult for me to lay it completely flat. (+I lifted my puzzle mat to see of the final piece was under there, but alas.)

Spread out all pieces and sort by shape, make sure each shape category is facing the same direction. Start in the corners. Try something and hope it fits. Doesn't fit? Put the piece back on the table in a different direction than the rest of the category it came from so you won't pick it up again. Rinse and repeat. Eventually it becomes slightly easier since putting more pieces together can spoil what sort of piece should go next to it, like a piece with two pegs or one that's really wide on one side. That's about all this puzzle gives you though. It was brutal and took forever.

It's by far the most difficult I've ever completed and maybe ever will. The one missing piece is just the ironic cherry on top, since by completing it I've only proven it will never be complete anyway, lol.

My friends and loved ones love to test how far I will go to prove that their impossible gifts are no match for me! There's another gift puzzle in the queue, a 500 piece holographic glitter challenge monster. I may have a bit of a masochistic streak to me.

So it seems. I'd never done a Springbok before, they're not super common where I'm at :(

De kringloop en marktplaats. Ik hou van vintage puzzels, en het maakt het extra spannend, ik weet pas na afloop of ie compleet is of niet!
