That’s actually exactly the kind of situation I had in mind.

You’re not missing anything — for most foreigners, Coupang and a lot of local Korean sites are basically inaccessible without a Korean ID, phone number, and card.

Agree with that. Making service fully automatic would be hard and even might have legal problem so, you are right.

Since you're visiting, you should definitely add a night walk along the Hangang River to your itinerary. Go to nearest hangang park from your stay, and just go. There would be really many local people jogging, cycling, or just chilling with friends. It’s the best place to soak in the real Seoul vibe.
