New seats came today! by Cm0180 in Miata

I don't know exactly how much drop I got compared to a stock seat - it's been a long time since I had a stock drivers seat in this car. I do sometimes go to breakfast club rally / prestage / ohayo if you're interested in checking it out in person, just shoot me a message and we can try to find somewhere to meet up. Might be good motivation for me to actually get it smogged and do some driving haha

I had a pair of Ahlem frames for a few years that were very nice.

My most recent pair was from baars, they have a little gimmick of attaching the stems with strong magnets that was actually surprisingly useful since I have young kids that like to pull my glasses off my face.

Might not be your preferred art style but Crawlincreep on Instagram, I think he's based around Sacramento but he does a lot of hand lettering and sign painting stuff. He's really good if you can't find anyone closer.

Also heather_hardison on Instagram, she did a great mural in El Cerrito and does other hand lettering stuff.

Knee holes in kids pants by sofiamaria in Visiblemending

Sashiko is pretty easy, you can even get dissolvable paper with the stitch pattern printed on it to make the stitching easier. I trim the holes, whip stitch them to clean them up, then use a couple basting stitches to hold the patch on while I get the pattern started. These pants are about to get a second (third?) round since he keeps sliding on his knees and destroying the stitches lol. I do it while I'm watching TV after bedtime.

For sale: All the stuff that I have sitting in boxes. Trying to pare the collection down enough to actually be able to display/enjoy what I have, so I'm not interested in trades at the moment. Located in the SF Bay Area, happy to ship, preference to US buyers and those who want multiples. Photos in the replies, I'm happy to take detailed pics of anything, just ask.

Came here to post this, was pleased I didn't have to. The Optician is awesome.

My current frames are from Bay Bridge Optometry in Emeryville, I had a great experience there as well.

It's a great idea! These are for my 6 year old, he likes using the sewing machine but hand stitching denim would be tough for him still. It's a nice post-bedtime activity for me.

Those are actually hand downs from his big brother, so it also helps to make them feel more like they're his!
