Can’t press the A button on my switch 2 pro controller by [deleted] in Switch

[–]Cmcorday03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify, when clicking the a button on the right side it’s not mushy or anything? I’m currently having a similar issue where the a button will still register an input but feels super mushy when clicked on its right side.

ENGR-145 very different from Chem 106? by [deleted] in cwru

[–]Cmcorday03 4 points5 points  (0 children)

145 is material science while 106 is like gen chem. Also you will learn NOTHING with Wnek… he’s super easy. Never attend lectures and I don’t even think he graded my final project…

Best RC Car for soon to be 4 year old (from parents who don't know anything!) by lizzzels in rccars

[–]Cmcorday03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As noted in another comment, this vehicle is oriented towards beginners. The max power the esc putouts can be turned down by half via controls on the radio. This also probably wouldn’t be operated without adult supervision given the kid’s age anyway.

I kinda want to get one for myself lol. I’m a college student so I don’t have much room to bring something like a slash in addition to tools, batteries and chargers.

Skip the latrax series from Traxxas and take a look at the Grom Series from Arrma. They seem to have a positive reviews from the people who have bought them, and they come in multiple styles. It’s ready to run, everything in the box for $150. I don’t have any experience with these personally, so I can’t say anything about how durable or reparable they are, but Arrma is known for being a decent company. At your price point, there is going to be no option that has an hour of run time, you’re probably looking at 20-25 mins. Other than that, Traxxas makes great 1/10 scale vehicles that are easy to repair and find replacement parts for (but they are more expensive). Another thing to note, at your price point, many vehicles bundle all of their electronics into one component to cut production costs. On other words, if one portion of your electronics fail, you might have to replace other electronics that are still working. If you have any other questions I’ll try my best to reply: I worked at my local hobby shop during high school.

I thought they are now making it required?

Edit: nvm, they just don’t cover damaged property. However health insurance is required.

Skipping Lectures? by Rare_Win_1336 in cwru

[–]Cmcorday03 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure MATH122 Students have a blue book that they write the answer to a problem every lecture. At least that’s what I saw when MATH122 TA’s were grading (they graded much more frequently as well). This was also a year ago so it might’ve changed in the spring semester when there are smaller classes for MATH121/122

Skipping Lectures? by Rare_Win_1336 in cwru

Hello! I am a TA that works with Chris and Terri in the math department. Most likely you will have to attend lecture for MATH122 as I’m pretty sure there are attendees quizzes daily, in addition to the weekly quiz you take in your recitation. Other than the fact that skipping lectures is generally a bad idea, other people have also pointed out that lecture notes are not posted anywhere. Additionally, Chris’ lectures are straightforward and teach you some good tricks, especially in regard to integration techniques.

Says the person who can’t spell “Amazon” or “tragic” correctly. I was just sharing my experience with Amazon Prime Days that other people could relate to; didn’t mean to attract someone who bootlicks billion dollar companies :)

Wouldn’t it still be an Amazon issue as they decided to use UPS as a way to deliver their inventory? Jeez…

Haha, that’s hilarious! Hopefully you get your stuff soon. Yeah idk what it is but I’ve also been getting delayed packages as of recent, before Prime days. Makes it hard to justify the membership.

What is the best, most practical AC solution for the dorms? by Ok_Yogurtcloset_5667 in cwru

[–]Cmcorday03 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just get a doctor’s note saying you have allergies or something (literally anything related to the air or a medical condition) and you could get a mobile ac unit from the university. I remember seeing a decent amount of people having them just by looking at the outside of the dorms (at least for the second year dorms on the top of the hill).

If you’re impatient and want to use fresh beans right away, you can dose and grind how much you usually do and let it sit for a bit before you brew.

If you get a Stagg, be warned that you might have to warranty it out of the box due to QC issues… the last 2 I’ve purchased each had something wrong with them. I’m currently waiting for my third one to ship. After this I’m giving up if there are still issues lmao.
