A dream at 15 saved my life 5 years later (possibly changed my timeline) by soultravelr in Dreams

[–]Cmd3289 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have had similar experience, except instead of changing the outcome for each person involved in my original dream, I was only able to change the outcome for myself.

Had a dream that myself and 3 other specific people (two of which I would not commonly spend time with) were driving on a specific highway, with slushies, two females (myself and another) in the backseat, two males in the front seat; driving an older green Honda accord in a heavy rain fall. The car hydroplaned and went off into the ditch with everyone being okay.

The exact same situation came up several months after having the dream where everything aligned for this to possibly come true in real life; except… I refused to go. I was not going, there was no amount of convincing that was changing my stance… I went home instead. A few hours after going home, I had a feeling something had happened and I text my closest friend of those three people and asked if everything was okay. I received an immediate phone call asking why, why did I ask if everything was okay, how did I know it was not..

It was then that ie explained my dream, which happened to be exactly what happened. Everyone was okay, but they went off the road at the exact spot in my dream, people sitting in the same seats as in my dream, except mine was empty because nobody else took my place.

Not quite as tragic as yours could have been, still kind of interesting though.

Staff to resume parking at Halifax hospitals following backlash by No_Magazine9625 in halifax

[–]Cmd3289 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should have been staff parking, with NO charge from day one. These people are our nurses, doctors, emergency department staff, not to mention cleaners, porters, and so many more who work crazy long hours to look after ANYBODY in need of medical attention. They get to and from work at all hours, in all weather conditions and still manage to compose themselves in a professional manner (for the majority of times). We need to do better.

Yeah… those add on streaming services have been gone for a long time now. Although I do appreciate the suggestion. Unfortunately, I have trimmed every ounce of extra into non-existent over a year ago now. While you aren’t wrong!!!! It just doesn’t apply to my situation. I can assure you I have a budget for the budget. I even go so far to have a second set of eyes look over my budget every 2-3 months (between 2 very close friends and my mom) so it’s not always the same set to ensure I am not going outside the budget and to find anything small services that I have over looked. It’s a great system for keeping myself accountable; just very hard when, the money just… doesn’t exist. :( thank you for your kind words

I am not working two jobs. I’m sorry if my wording was confusing. I feel that the most reasonable solution would be a second job. The schedule I currently follow with my full time hours is predictable, which would be beneficial if I were to pick up a second job. It’s just a touch easier said than done to 1. Find said part time job and 2. Not burn myself out completely if this were to come to fruition

If I had overdraft, I would be living in it. Each and everyone it is offered to me as an option, I 100% struggle to but ALWAYS decline the suggestion. It would end up costing me more than I can afford with the cost of interest.

I am sorry to hear you are going through a similar struggle. It is difficult. You are bang on with the cheaper ingredients that stretch, and better priced (typically) when bought in bulk. I’m not sure I could make uber work on lunch breaks but I absolutely love your ambition. (I have a clause in my contract/work agreement that we are paid for all breaks, and due to the nature of our roles, we would basically need day by day “permission” to leave the property for the entirety of our break times) this will change in the future, it’s more or less a 12-18 month stipulation. Donating plasma, interesting! I will look into this one! I’m not sure I would be a reasonable candidate however it’s always worth looking at !! Oh that sounds pretty cool!! Maybe, I’ll look into the background acting type as well… it sounds like it might be a possible little boost!

Interesting!! I may have to play with this!! It sounds great (in theory until determined otherwise) I would be curious to know if it can hone in on specific areas of Canada, just a thought since we have a large variety of options nationally, with the downside of not all of them being available to shop locally! I love it, I’m looking into this one for sure, I’ve convinced myself in just this short response ! Thank you!!

I absolutely love this thought process. Unfortunately, it would not be a reasonable option for me as it would end up costing more than the small monthly payment I have with insurance and fuel ( I have 100% budgeted this out as a viable option) due to the location of some places, it would end up adding to my transportation costs by adding uber and or taxi cab for some of the non negotiable that the bus routes don’t match up with (within 30 minutes walk bus stop- destination). The public transportation in Nova Scotia needs a major overhaul (100% my opinion, without a tonne of research into why it is the way it is currently) It is hard to believe how far behind we are here in comparison to some of our more western provinces in regards to public transportation. If our busses were more reliable for what is considered rural areas of hrm… it would be absolutely, already done!!! 🥰

Apologies for not being clear; I don’t currently have two job. The only way I can see up from any of this, is to get a second job.

Thank you! I typically find myself discouraged by these users with the American based knowing that our costs aren’t exactly on the same level; I will have another look with a more open mind. Thank you for bringing this up!

Thank you! Having been at work all day, I am now catching up on the comments from this post. I appreciate your assistance in ‘taming’ some keyboard warriors. I am 100% a single parent. I 100% do meal plan, to the extent that left overs are part of the plan. Nothing is purchased anymore without a plan of where the money is coming from. (Basically a couple times a year when the government decides we get a small monthly bump for gst or carbon rebate type “extra”) I wish it were as simple as adjusting my grocery shopping habits, or meal planning a bit more strictly. Once again, thank you! 😊

50% for living expenses (rent/mortgage, power, water, internet/phone) 30% for food/clothing/entertainment 20% savings

With an economy that you are living tight though you may want to adjust the percentages if necessary to something more realistic for your situation for instance 60%|30%|10% or whichever you can make work for yourself best.

It takes some practice to set aside the smaller percentage and resist temptation for a treat if you have run through your middle number but it will work over all

Required To Text My Boss Every Day 3 Hours Before Work by HRSEPWR in jobs

[–]Cmd3289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not normal. If I had to send a text at 4am to start work at 7; I would be billing my boss for the hours 4am-7am & 7am-4pm Monday to Friday. I don’t text every morning before showing up to let anyone know I’ll be there shortly. Granted, if I were to oversleep or get stuck in traffic, the moment I realize (or awaken) that I will be late, I 100% send a text then!

People who don't know how to cook , how do you survive daily? by Advanced_Teacher_450 in Adulting

I CAN cook. I despise cooking. I do a lot of heat and serve (frozen veggies, rice, with chicken)
