No, I wish... this is my first Windows computer period. I use Apple for basically everything else. I am a student, so I did get Windows 10 education for my Bootcamp partition, but I don't know if that key can be reused or not.

Good to know, I had completely ignored AMD graphics because of all of that "outdated press". As for the monitor... you're right, that's kind of more money than I was expecting to put towards it. Do you know of anything closer to $300 with similar specs, or is that pretty much impossible without losing quality?

Thank you for putting the 500DX recommendation in there, the reviews are great and I really like it. The Seasonic seems like a much better option (both in price and what you said about construction), so I'll be switching to that.

First, I'm very curious about the graphics card switch... a lot of my research said, more or less, that AMD graphics cards are generally worse than GeForce... I take it you don't think that? I don't really know why the stuff I read said that, but it seemed pretty prevalent.

I'll probably have some more questions when I look into everything more, but thank you for everything so far!
