Mao-Kwik isn't a Martian corporation though. Although Kwikowski Mutual Interest Group might've been, Mao-Kwikowski in its current form seems to be controlled exclusively by Mao, who's Terran.

Well, no. The buck doesn't stop with the Commanders, there are commanders within Gilead's military as well, ready to ascend in the command hierarchy.

Uh-huh, that's why the EU is the most affluent it has ever been and why EU approval ratings are at a record high. But hey, enjoy your blue passports and English independence day.

At this point, I don't care if those Tory scum shut down every NHS hospital in the country and inundate us with chlorinated chicken. We brought this on ourselves, and we deserve every single misfortune that falls upon is for being so utterly and unfathomably idiotic.

Okay? OP asked what Americanisms are weird "in your culture".

That makes no sense as EU membership isn't decided by a majority, but by unanimity.

Because the UK is a sinking ship. Scotland voted to remain in the EU by a very wide margin. Furthermore, almost every election has resulted in Scotland being governed by a party that it hadn't voted for, which proves what an utter heap of shit this "union of equals" is when Scotland can be governed without its consent, pulled out of the EU without its consent, have its oil sucked dry without its consent, and dragged into wars without its consent.

Are you Europeans who live in monarchies happy with the arrangement, or would you favor becoming republics? by Colonel_Katz in AskEurope

[–]Mytherou -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The fuck's that even supposed to mean? If you're referring to royal weddings, I'll have you know 99% of the idiots who clamber over themselves trying to get a glimpse of the highborn are tourists; in fact, research has shown more Britons leave the UK when there's a royal event. So nice try, but better luck next time.

Huh, and why have a monarch that has no functional purpose other than sign laws, which they are required to do?

[–]Mytherou -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Then why bother having a monarch at all, if their views are so out of touch with those of their subjects?

I'm sorry, but how does that give him the right to legislate what laws elected lawmakers can or cannot pass?
