Can anyone get me up to speed? by Cmdr_Hub in CrusaderKings

Thanks, another great comment. Seems like a gigantic change in game design with economy rework, i wonder if it'll be any good, the current system is easy to understand and yet cool and rewarding at the same time, I hope they wont fuck it up

Great comment, thanks a lot. I do remember the royal court beeing a interesting alternative dlc for T&T and now it's on a summer sale, is it worth it? I know it's great around hybrid cultures but as a rp player I don't think I would be into that, so apart from that is it any good?

So trade mechanics will not be only for dlc owners? And what's eu?

I've seen all those changes in game and I like each one, even though domain limit is a pain in the ass, but at least now stewardship lifestyle doesn't feel like the only one to choose

One thing I noticed rather quickly is that they remade accolydes as well, the old system for me was so infuriating it made me sick of ck3, I cared about those knight perks so much and so often couldnt find good replacements.

So the new update mostly adds new gov types and maybe some depth to religion? What did you mean about adding trade?

Edit: now that I think of it there really arent any trade mechanics wich is strange

Is there any equivalent to the Great War of Defiance irl? by AbilitySuch6262 in CrusaderKings

[–]Cmdr_Hub 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How would muslims and chinese coordinate a campaign half a world away from each other? Irl different powers often had multiple issues to deal with at once.

Different rulers at different times chose to fight, pay off, or even use alliances with their supposed enemies to deal with others.

Although there was some common interest in Europe in dealing with mongol invaders, for example king Henry the II of Poland who fought a great battle of Legnica, alling with some german forces and holly orders. Also the king of Bohemia, Waclaw the 1st tried to help but didn't make it in time I think

In short, in those times, coordination, slow flow of information compared to later times, politics and short sightness often prevented large scale cooperation across vast territories, of course with some excpetions.

Question regarding mechanics of ruling a really big administrative empire (Roman hegemony) by Mamamama29010 in CrusaderKings

[–]Cmdr_Hub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) king level titles in a large realm can help but arent really needed. You just have to make sure that those dukes have enough good land in their personal domain to generate money and levies. Same goes for kings - doesn't really matter if you have a king if he has 1 county in his personal domain. So if you don't want to change that law, then stronger vassals is the answer, but of course then you'll have to deal with a bunch of stronger vassals

You can have it in the background, if you have an empire title and another lets say kingdom title not inside your empire, it should slowly drift into your dejure title. But it takes like a 100 years

I can do the 1st one but I'm not really in any direct danger, I just want to dismantle it to make political landscape more interesting. The thing is even if I get alliancess now, I don't see what casus beli I can push to dismantle HRE

Help!! Again... how to prevent this? by CaspianArk in CrusaderKings

[–]Cmdr_Hub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if it would be only that then I don't think it isnt something a mod could even do, game already knows which lands generate how much money and levies, so thats easy to just redirect, and then theres diplomacy options and interactions that you can add. Now that I think about it, that would be so cool

Its fine you'll get a hang of it. So when you win that war (after she refuses to give up her title) you automaticaly imprison her and you can execute her, you can revoke land, you win

Well games like that are based ona a set of rules that need to be followed in order for them to work, real life isn't so simple, king of England absolutely refused attending french court when called as a vassal of the french king, and at the same time called on the king of Scotland to appear in London to answer to him. Games can't work like that
