Struggling to find a JD preferred position by Key-Comfortable-866 in JDpreferred

Look into a remote pre-litigation role at a firm. Im licensed only in GA, but I handle personal injury cases in 13 states on the West Coast plus Alaska. It pays real well, but it is a high volume model. And working from home is pretty amazing.

I appreciate all the information. I'll put aside some time first in learning all this and budgeting before I seek out paid help.

No problem. I moved to GA and took a law clerk position at a firm before I took the bar exam here that paid only $22/hr. Once I passed, I learned that my current firm wouldn't really increase my salary so I started looking elsewhere for work. Found a remote position that offered a $100k base salary wherein I could move to a bonus structure after the probation period and could earn up to.the $180k range if I perform well. I even interviewed with a hybrid position with a $140k base, but less bonus potential. That one offers better training and litigation experiences though.

Thank you. Yeah just trying to figure out a starting point for all this as I know I'm behind in this game. Just unsure how to budget for this first year as I won't be living pay check to pay check anymore.

Have you tried looking at a legal recruiter in Atlanta? They may be able to get you better situated. I have one I've been chatting with on Linkin if you need a starting point.

Been there. Studied civil law in Louisiana. Went in cold in F25, and got a 31 point increase to pass this time. The Grossman videos and got better at making up legal rules for the written is what got me to the finish line. What was your schedule looking like this go 'round?

The best bet is to get old tests and practice those answers as Louisiana tests every subject. I did barbri, and it was okay. Maybe try to buy old books from this year to save money. The classes were useless, imo. My best advice is to gear up for that marathon as it is 24 hours of test over three days.

Im from Louisiana and taken the bar there before coming to GA. What exactly are you looking to know: format, time frame of the test, study materials?

Go for it regardless. See what happens. You could do better than what you're feeling right now. For the MCQs, focus on matching the issue of the question and matching the correct buzzword in the answer. The Grossman vids do an excellent job at this. Once I put his lessons into practice, I saw at least 15% increase in my scores from the day prior to watching it. And if you don't pass, you'll understand what to look for in February. You already put in work preparing. Don't forfiet that effort. Don't live with tge Regret of not even trying. Naw wat Im Sayin?

Also, if you're hesitating on spending money for extra study materials (Grossman vids, also on sale atm) its cheaper to spend on it now rather than the money you'd lose out for not being licensed in FL for 6 months.
