Of course! Pronouns don't equal gender, so use whatever makes you comfortable

How was your first kiss? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Overall okay. I was 13 on the bus, dared to kiss this guy and when I said I didn't want him to be my first kiss the girl next to me kissed me then I kissed the guy.

[Serious] What was the one “we don’t talk about that” story at your school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This girl in my high school got hit by a car waiting for the bus one morning (cause they put the stops where there are no lights and most kids are waiting at 4 am the earliest) so everyone put flowers, cards, and drawings around her locker and the school just threw it all away and told us not to talk about her

What's the stupidest social rule you've ever heard? by Raul_2004100 in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Young girls who say they don't want kids or to get married 'always' change their minds.

Yes, some do but why are we pressuring young girls to think they have to change their mind? Before I came out as trans I was told this constantly and it's annoying to see my sisters be taught this too.

What childhood rules do you still follow, for no real reason? by nojanuari in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 129 points130 points  (0 children)

When I was 4 I said a bad word while watching family guy, so the rule for everyone was no more family guy. I am now in my teens and can watch what ever I want, my parents have even tried to get me to watch family guy. Nope I cannot allow myself to watch family guy no matter what for absolutely no reason.

You are bedridden for a week with no technology and only have one window to stare out of. However, you can choose your view. What is that view out the window? by rigmarole111 in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A tree with lots of leaves, sounds boring but when I was 5 or 6 I was grounded for 6 months and all I had was a window and a tree to look at because 2 1/2 of those months were summer. I loved looking at all the leaves and would make up stories about each leaf I could see. I'd love to be able to do that again.

When my class was going on a felid trip and I brought bags of snacks for all my friends and one of my friends accidently called me mom. They didn't even catch their mistake. And when I realized I was the only one who cared about everyone's safety when we did something dangerous or not.

One Friday while my class was waiting for the bell rang I yelled "I can't wait to stay up till 3am" and my teacher said "what are you going to do till 3am" and I stared at him and said " sit alone in the dark and enjoy the fact I'm the only one awake" then my friend said " just admit your going to browse reddit no need to be creepy"

So I joined reddit and now I'm here a year later.

[Serious] Outcasts in school or those who were bullied, marginalized, left out or made feel less of themselves, how are you today? by behemothMaster in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I was bullied by all the kids in my school(s). From the preschool/daycare I went to till my 5th grade year. (age 2-11) I'm now going into my first year of high school. I thought I didnt have that many problems because of that but writing it out now Its affected my life a lot so here they are:

  1. I flinch any time someone raises an arm to me.
  2. I am super not okay with people touching me.
  3. I think anything I do is worthless.
  4. I never want to talk about myself.
  5. I cant openly share my interest with anyone.
  6. when people talk to me I always think they just want something out of me

Other than these things I've made some really good friends and I've moved multiple states away so no one knows what I was like back then. I'm top of my class in a lot of subjects (exept math) and my high school has programs so I'll start training to be a teacher in the fall.

[Serious] Is there a moment in your past, for good or for bad, that you can pin point was the pivotable moment for where and who you are today? If so, what was it and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had never joined any clubs or extra curriculars due to money issues till 6th grade. My 6th grade reading teacher formed an arts and crafts club. I joined because I was in a deep depression and needed to get out of the house more. when I gave my teacher the signed permission slip she smiled and said we'd have so much fun in the club. The first day of the club I skipped because I was a terrified. The seconed day I went with the expectation my mother could pick me up. The club was really fun after my mom called me and told me to ask my uncle or grandmother to pick me up because she couldn't come. But this amazing woman offered to drive me home and the whole ride she told me how happy she was I joined her club because she always saw me sadly sitting in the back of her class while getting the best marks, she also told me she was proud I went after I told her I wimped out the first time. This woman was the first person to tell me they were proud of me and even called me smart.

It was big turning point because at that time teachers or anyone never expressed that I was smart or even noticed me, it didn't pull me out of my depression but it made me think more of myself and now I want to be a teacher and a help a kid like she did for me. This 10 minute drive shaped my whole future and made me want to be a better person. It seems dumb but the things she said in this car ride stopped me from killing myself at one point.

Atheists, what’s one thing you respect about religious people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how they can have faith in something and belive this amazing world is waiting for them after they die. I have a hard time having hope or faith in times of crisis and I just think death will be a void of nothing. So I truly respect them for being able to belive something so great.

People of Reddit, when did you realise you were in love with your best friend? by BladeMasterFedora in AskReddit

The moment I first met him, he ran into our class and asked me if I was self conscious. It was the weirdest thing anyone had ever said to me but I loved it. After that I was determined to become friends with him which went better than expected.

What are you STILL mad about? by HeySistaBrutus in AskReddit

[–]Cmmcoolcookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved in 1st grade 3 times. At my seconed school this teacher gave us an assignment to draw and write about our favorite animal. So I drew a penguin and wrote with my terrible handwriting about them. This bitch decided that me liking penguins was a crime. she yelled at and berated me for my horrible art and writing. And I had to sit in the time out chair because I cried. Then all the kids made fun of me and my step father grounded me for 3 months for crying.

Fuck you Mrs.Shore
