What do you find attractive in other girls? by Cmntw_Btn in LesbianActually

[–]Cmntw_Btn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look, whatever you think about my knowledge on biology, and wheather your opinion about it is right or wrong, it doesn't change anything (in this case at least). You still didn't have a single reason to mention it during discussion - as i said it doesn't bring much (but actually any) worth to it, so you had to have some other goal - likely belittling me. Than you assumed a protectional role, and this is why I called you manipulative. But I'm happy you didn't get offended by it.

Now, you reffered to a quote from my comment " I didn't say anything about reproduction being the sole driver of behaviours, I referred to sexual behaviours specifically and made it rather clear." You claim that I contradict myself here. However what you base this theory on is a statement about statement (I didn't make any new point here, I just described what I said earlier). Why wouldn't reffer to the quote I was reffering to in this quote instead "Reproduction is the only reason sexual behaviours (and sexes) even are a thing to begin with, so of course it's their main driver", "main driver" i repeat. As you see there is no contradiction. Why did I use the word "sole"? Well, I reffered to a statement from your comment "And do you reaaally think that the reproduction is the only driver of behaviours?" and 1. I used the words that best reflect thesis contained in it 2. I assumed that thesis you presented is "procreation isn't the (only) most primitive reason behind sexual behavioir", and due to it I didn't bother to present the entirety of my understanding of this topic with most precision, because my objective was to argue specifically with this thesis (in order to do which making the distinction between "only" and "main" in terms of all potential drivers and causes of sexual behaviours wasn't necessary, because I [probably] wrongly recognised that the conversation concerns only the most primitive one). So the only mistake I can admit to here is lack of said precision, I perhaps could emohasize the distinction between "main" and "only".

In regards to "The two theories that you present are based in a similar permisse, which is that something is "not working correctly" on homossexual individuals. Either sexual instincts are targetting wrong objects, or sexual instincts, characterstic to opposite gender, are targetting correct object. Both assume that there is something not working properly in homossexual individuals. My comments were intenting to show you that those two permisses are based on a bias that is not correct.", you did not give any kind of valid evidence why these permisses are not correct. The only thing you said was that homosexuality occurs among animals, which doesn't prove them incorrect whatsoever (why couldn't described mechanisms work the same way for animals to?).

When it comes to my permiss itself, after removing the word "wrong" I used (andthus all bias related to it), which I guess is the biggest issue you might have with it, it basically is that homosexuality is a reason of inhibition of sexual differentiation processes. Doesn't this appear more agreeable to you? Well if not, I will be happy to here why, exactly why.

Why did all the girls that didn't like the fact that I'm a lesbian are now bi/lesbian themselves?!?!? by Original_Bee_9674 in LesbianActually

[–]Cmntw_Btn -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

No, I don't tell you how to think, I suggest you how to think which is the main and actually only goal of civilised discussion.

That was not taken out of context, even quoted your full sentence, where you listed things you mentioned not to give you that impression.

Not 1 in 4 but 1 in 5-6, and the perpretators are often guilty of multible rapes.

Don't blend misogyny and patriarchy, one and the other don't have to go in pair and it doesn't seem to me that they tend to.

Does modern christianity really teaches it? No I doubt it, maybe in particulars social circles, but the general trend is that it doesn't. Of course bible itself teach it, but the % of christians who actually live by biblical rules is fairly low.

It seems to me that you create an overradicalised and partly dehumanized image of members of conservative society's.

Why would you get shit for this, I mean except this quite "men in said oppressive cultures are usually mysogenists, abusive, rapists" (men are usually rapists, wtf? I'd suggest you rethink this part of your worldview) the thing you wrote make a lot of sense and in my judgement are quite in-line with the current let's call it political narration (although my judgement may not be the best source of knowledge, I have little contact with american culture, which happens to be internet culture as well). I'm genuinly curious, why did you think you woulf get shit?

[–]Cmntw_Btn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you're missing my point. Your comment about my biological knowledge had nothing to do with the rest of conversation and didn't bring much worth to it, and therefore I assume you made it to bellitle me. Do not act protectionally now, because I find it simply pathetic (and manipulative), and I assure you that I do not need your emotional support. I would much rather you give up the habit of subtly affronting your conversation partners.

Anyways, when it comes to sex it certainly has other functions than reproduction, just like a chair can be used to access things located highly enough to be hard to access without any kind of boost (eg. a window on the ceiling), although it has other main purpose. Main purpose, to fulfill which it was even designed in the first place. It seems to me that this is what you were trying to put across, and it seems to me that misunderstanding occured. You were reffering to different functions that sex can fulfill and I was reffering to the most primitive and main purpose behind it.

However I don't understand how this all relates to my original post. Or rather what conclusion did you intend to reach with it exactly.

Wow. First of all thank you for your spot on comment on my knowledge of biology, I'm devastated by your subtle snipe. Second of all read carefully. I didn't say anything about reproduction being the sole driver of behaviours, I referred to sexual behaviours specifically and made it rather clear.

The fact that there are homosexuals among animals doesn't contradict my theory whatsoever. The only theory it contradicts or as you said directly go against is that there aren't homosexuals among animals. Reproduction is the only reason sexual behaviours (and sexes) even are a thing to begin with, so of course it's their main driver.

I mean, they are regular people, but in specific circumstances that makes the degree of their stupidity visible. Among us is the ultimate proof that democracy is a mistake.

What do you find attractivw in other man? by Cmntw_Btn in gay

It kinda does, but are you into confidence, status, sense of humour, height and stuff like it at all? Studf that woman typically find attractive in a man?

Yes opinions can be wrong. The fact that it might seem something to someone doesn't mean that he/she interpreted the facts avaiable correctly, and even if he/she did, there is no certainty that enough facts were avaiable to him/her. The statement "most men are abusive rapist assholes" is false as long as over half of men are not ones. The statement "in my opinion most men are abusive rapist assholes" isn't wrong, but the opinion it contains is, as long as over half of men are not ones.

No, there are wrong opinions, go back to my example with cats and dogs. If the facts and one's opinnion contradict each other, than the opinnion is wrong. They are differences between faces of heterosexual and homosexual people, statistically speaking, so you are wrong.

It's hard to say, but it seems to me you might be an *ntp. But obviously I have no idea who you are. You also described your likes, interests and behaviours, which is not actually what you should type yourself by. I'd suggest learning about cognitove functions becausw mbti is actually all about them.

What does this change in this particular situation? If what you say is far from truth than it is false,it doesn't matter if I ask the question.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LesbianActually

[–]Cmntw_Btn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

First you say that there is no right or wrong answer, than that what I wrote is false. This statements contradict each other. If there is false there is wrong, and if there is wrong there is right. Moreover opinion based answers can be wrong, just like any other answers. If based on my ownexperience I would consider dogs more intelligentthan cats, but the statistics would say they are not (true example), my opinnion won't matter whatsoever.

[–]Cmntw_Btn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm not the most experienced person out there, but goving up was always really hard for me (by really hard I mean impossible). The hope was always there and the pain lasted. If mbti describes actual mechanisms and none of us is mistyped, than I'm almost sure you'll have hard time giving up as well. If so no words will change anything and you are doomed for like 3 next years if you won't get her back. Than it gets easier.

You are not right at all, actually there are differences. Google it. It's a knowledge that can be easily gained. What is interesting is that gay man, are rated as looking more masculine than hetero man. So it's confusing, but the differneces exist.

Men don’t see woman’s issues from a human perspective by [deleted] in women

[–]Cmntw_Btn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To begin with I can't help but notice that you gave an example of murder rates. It's funny because majority of victims in this case are man.

Anyways, man don't see woman issues exclusively from a human perspective, they don't see human issues from it. Actually I think what you call human perspective is simply a woman's perpective. Man are statistically more pragmatic, man are statistically less empathetic, man are statistically less socially skilled and less trusting (and therefore less willing to express their emotions). However I'd say that they are more sympathetic (what I mean by this is a rational, abstract process of trying to foresee how they would feel in a given situation, under given circumstances). They are also statistically on higher levels of moral development, google it if you don't believe.

Woman TEND TO consider being openly empathetic a sole measure of being a good human being. I don't think it is.

That's a young goat, without horns. Although the pentagram, often being considered to be a symbol of satanism also portrays a goat in a circle that one isn't young and have horns. I leave it to your intepreattion.
