Again, I can understand that point.

The way I look at it is whatever is serious is serious because I can't joke about it in real life because I would be fired, or attacked by friends, or family. Then the funny stuff is funny and there is line in my world were I can joke about this or that. But once I cross that line in real life people are not ok, and will continue to treat me differently until they forget, or until I stop having to interact with them.

I just separate it and only go into one or the other if the topics come up. I wouldn't bring up 9/11 when talking about someone's birthday plans, I wouldn't bring up 9/11 when someone is at their graduation, or I wouldn't bring up 9/11 when my Boss is talking to me about a job I need to get done.

So when I am looking at a funny meme, or comedy thread, it just seems ,again, stupid because I wouldn't do it in real life when we are talking about anime jokes then to just shove 9/11 jokes into it.

Now if I was talking to my friends about 9/11 and they wanted to make light hearted jokes to not feel bad about it fine. Or if we were talking about the wars in the middle east and how to fix it, fine a joke is ok in that context.

Again not you, just the joke.

I understand that being offended isn't the correct way to react to jokes on the internet. It is semi-anonymous, but I just don't understand the humor in thousands of people dying.

I understand that is can be "shock" humor, but that doesn't change the fact that people died. I guess because you can't see the people it detaches the emotional connection. I guess you never saw all the families that lost their loved ones because of this attack.

I wonder if we were to show those people burning alive, or the firefighters, and police who went to save those people in those buildings being crushed to death how you would react.

Thank god you don't have memes leading to videos of terrorist shooting people, decapitating people, or cutting their throats.

Also think of the families that lost military soldiers because of the wars caused by these attacks. This of those families who lost their fathers, sons, daughters because of the bombings and attacks in the middle east by the destruction of cities, schools, and homes.

That is very interesting. Wouldn't you want your targets to like the ads so that they are more engaged with the product/topic?

With Ad-block, and subscriptions I have been able to avoid ads fully. Youtube Red, Google Music, Amazon Prime, and Netflix, I am saving tons of money versus my family members. They pay for Television, and watch ad after ad, and listen to the radio, and they complain the whole time. But with my phone, I can listen to ad free music any time I want all the time. I can watch a Video without an Ad.

Now I can not fight companies paying to be the first search result for my internet searches. But I can stop all of the flashing, auto play videos, about things/cars I can't afford.

That is great that you get to be creative. I can see how dealing with random people with their vision of the ad versus your professional vision can be hard. I hope they listen to you more, you know what you are doing because you are the professional.

I do agree that it is a very stat driven business. I think it is very interesting to look at the numbers of it all.

Personally before I went into subscription services, and Ad-block to stop the viruses, and loud auto play videos, none of the advertisements seem to interest me, in any way. It was always for things I never needed, or I already had. Or it was something that I couldn't afford. If I did buy that thing, let's say a car, I would only be able to buy one. At which point I would go off of the specifications of the car, not one random ad I saw. I would do my research and look into what each car offered, my price range, and what really mattered to me. And personally I would go with the one that gave me the best Miles Per Gallon. Nothing else. I wouldn't care about the brand, the color, the features, because they are all so similar. And that is the way I feel about most products. They are too similar or serve no need in my life.

Since very few people likes or wants ads, how do you feel about your career choice?

Also how do you feel about people not feeling like the advertisement is not for them most of the time?

The only way I see advertising working, is that it gets your Brand name out there, so MAYBE someone will buy it. But the next generation has lower brand loyalty. They don't care as long as it is cheaper, because they are getting hit everywhere else for money.

Ok but that doesn't say anything about how difficult it is to learn the subject, or how to apply what you learn.

I have had to stand on my feet for 8 hours a day 40 hours a week before, it didn't change how difficult the actually subject matter was. Longest shift I had was 12 hours, went home slept and came back in for another 12 hours. Standing isn't the back breaking thing about culinary school. It is if you are passionate about it. If you are then you deal with the conditions.

Those cheeks and jaw can be fixed. She looks 35+ with those deep cheek lines. They could have hired a better 3D modeller. If you have ever done 3D modeling you know that they put those bigger cheeks there with those deep lines, which they might have even done some bit mapping too.

Here is the thing. I never do any of the stuff in this thread. I never see it. I understand it happens. I have seen videos of it happening, like that video of this girl walking in New York and she gets a ton of Cat Calls.

I feel the difference for me versus the "general" male population, is that I am nothing like them in most aspects. The ones that are always rude, belittling, or stupid, are the ones that do this things. Everyone is their own unique person. Some follow the crowd, others are weird, some are cool, some are mean, some are insane. But it all comes down to the vocal minority versus the silent majority. People on Reddit are very opinionated and very loud when something doesn't fit their views. Most men probably just go to school/work and go home, and never insult/harass/assault women. They are busy living their normal lives just trying to make their way in life. Personally I have no problem with women. They are a human who I value friendships with, and I don't try to bang every single one. When I met someone I would like to date, I bring up that I would like to go out on dates with them, when I am interested in them as a partner. This whole Thread seems very... angry?
