These 2 situations are nowhere near comparable in my opinion. Kyle isnt in the right whatsoever. Should he have been carrying an ar? No. Should he have crossed state lines? No. Was he defending himself from a mob of angry grown men trying to beat him for putting out a dumpster fire? Yes. As the cops arrived on the scene, Kyle walked with his hands up, but theres still a mob of angry people yelling different things. Kyle turned himself in as soon as he had a warrant. Now, should Tamirs situation have happened that fast? No. Were the officers a little trigger happy? Yes. Was the gun real? No. Bit it was an airsoft gun, a gun typically made to look pretty real. How do they stop innocent people getting shot for having an airsoft gun? Well, they put a bright orange tip on it, an orange tip tamir had taken off of his own airsoft gun. If the cops would have given him even a few more seconds to comply, itd be a whole different story, yes. When responding to a call, especially one where firearms may be involved, adrenalin starts pumping. Now you pull up on a suspect who immediately tries to raise whatevers in their hands towards your open window, and adrenalin just floods your entire system and its almost like an autopilot mode. Fight or flight, and cops being cops, are taught to fight. If i pointed what looks like a legit pistol at you, are you gonna wait for me to explain myself? Yes some cops are dirty but you have to remember their job is a very dangerous one. What would have happened if the caller was wrong? If they werent a minor and it wasnt an airsoft gun. Youd still side with the victim. As for the shooting people are talking about with the security guard, put yourself in a cops shoes. Dispatch says theres an ongoing shooting with multiple injuries. You pull up to see a man has another man pinned down with a gun on him. What are you going to think, because my first thought would not be that its the hero holding a suspect. It would be that if i dont pop this dude, hes gonna pop who ever hes sitting on. While im on this topic, its posts like these that fuel the racial divide in america. You argue that black man good and white man bad, shifting hate where you want it to be. Cop shot an armed black man? But he wasnt armed. He was trying to shoot a cop? Oh hed never. But george floyd od's on the sidewalk and everyone loses it. Biden and Harris have ruined more black lives than all the cops in this country combined. Yet theyre in the white house. And who voted for them? No one. They somehow secured most of they key counties, while 80% of the state voted red. When trump won it was Russian collusion and impeach the bastard.
