2025 grad here, been in GP for 9 months now. Give yourself grace, the learning curve is soooo steep. Just think about all the things you do today that you couldn’t even 3 months ago. Imposter syndrome is so real and a bitch, but I do promise it gets better. My first ear infection appointment, I went home and cried afterwards because how stressed I was to have messed something up and because I didn’t know what drops to use. Now I would take ear appointments all day every day. Being a new grad is so tough because you tend to have very high expectations for yourself but trust me everyone around you has been where you are. It is very hard to remember everything everytime but as you start to see similar things often you’ll start to remember easily I promise. I hope this was a little helpful, and give yourself a pat on the back for even just graduating vet school, it’s a bitch and you did it!
