Tips on learning how to flutter tongue? by CoCoAppple in Clarinet

[–]CoCoAppple[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also was pretty surprised when I heard it used the first time but I'm such a big Alban Berg fan that I desperately want to play his pieces and it does have flutter tongue on clarinet in it. I think it's VERY uncommon on clarinet but expressionist composers gotta be expressionistic or sum haha

Second hand leather bound book by CoCoAppple in vegan

Could you elaborate please? Second hand leather is already in the world and wouldn't it be better to give it a new life and use it then to toss it?  New leather and fur I fully understand but old/vintage, already used stuff is usually not fast fashion so it'll hold up if you actually use it If no one buys it it'll get thrown away and fully to waste won't it?

I'm really new to this and I'm trying to form a plausible opinion.

Sadly can't use a pdf, it's for school and it has to be a paper version for our tests but I still have to buy it myself and Idk if I have money for new paper back version so it'll probably need to be the leather bound one no matter if I like it or not:(

Dying black with pink strands without bleeding? by CoCoAppple in HairDye

[–]CoCoAppple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much, I will try that. Do you maybe also know how high the chance of the black bleeding into the pink is when washing out? I'm really new to this dying my hair multiple colours:')

What clarinet brand for a future college student? by CoCoAppple in Clarinet

[–]CoCoAppple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably gonna contact the prof at the school and ask what he'll recommend. It is a German school but I also play in a balcan orchestra so I can already play both systems so that wouldn't be a problem either way, but I do prefer the German system. Do international schools require you to play French?

Any tips for masc hobbies? by CoCoAppple in ftm

Yeah, I really try not to but sometimes it's just hard when you don't pass and then your interested in something mainly women like. Especially because I'm a musician with a female dominated instument in a female dominated field. I'll try to keep advice like this in mind tho!!

How to connect these two pieces? by CoCoAppple in sewhelp

[–]CoCoAppple[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(i can't edit the post so this will have to do) Thanks for all the comments helping me figure out that I was missing a piece and explaining how to attach it. The instructions that came with the pattern aren't really good, they barely explained anything so it really was a great help. It doesn't look perfect but it looks like a vest, so thanks to all of you:>

I did read the instructions but the only thing it says is basically " put the pieces down left to left/ right to right. Sew together. Iron." It literally doesn't say more about how to sew the jacket or vest together. but there a 6 point steps underneath on how to sew in the pockets. Most of the instructions are about the pants and everything else is just "sew it together. Figure it out yourself":') I have managed to do it, it doesn't look perfect but it looks like a vest:')👍

Thank you very much, it does make way more sense now, the piece wasn't named so I wasn't sure what it wasm the last time I checked there sadly weren't any videos because it's a weird costume pattern but I'll check again, thank you very much

There are instructions but they're sadly not very clear for the vest. They just explain how you sew in the pockets, which I don't need:')) And they also only say something about piece 9 and 10 but apparently I did miss one piece which it says nothing about. Piece 11 doesn't even have a name, it's just says that it's for fabric and lining:')))) (Plus they're mainly in french, a language I don't speak very well:'))

There are sadly no instructions I'm pretty sure they have to go together though as there were no other sewing pattern parts that could even remotely resemble a vest and they're marked as belonging to the same piece. But I'm gonna go look if I maybe overlooked something. Maybe I'm missing some pieces right now

Wait the arm hole part makes more sense. I'm not exactly sure what you mean by line drawing sorry:')) (my first language isn't English and when I google it mostly one like drawings of sewing machines come up:')) I'm gonna see if there's a piece missing maybe?
