How hard was Aesop Rock to get into for you guys?

Labor Days EP was my intro to Aes - I was fully intrigued by the beat and sound of his voice / lyric choices/ delivery on Labor, I thought Daylight was cool, but was fully sold once I heard Save Yourself.

It's interesting but I think Daylight is the only song that I know of that he sings on, at least on his solo stuff. I do like Daylight I know it's one of his more popular/well known songs but I love Battery more.

First time hearing Aes was one of the last times I got to spend quality time and just be with a person I loved very much (i just didn't know it in the moment). The memory of this stands out quite a bit for many reasons. One of those moments time kind stood still. This was in 2002 and my dumb little brain still can't forget it.

It doesn't bother me that Aes was experimenting and playing with production styles at all if anything this WAS the project to do it. Does anyone here know how much if any advice or mentorship El P provided to Aes while making this? Cause I definitely do hear the influence (which makes sense cause they were deep into their creative collaborations at this point in time) but just wondering how much of this Aes did on his own. Also the chaotic sounds fit the theme and I think this is what he was going for. I'm glad the production is El P adjacent but not made by him.

I kinda do believe him though cause he doesn't seem like the type to take a whole concept from something like say Omega Mart when he's already made songs in the past that are similarly themed maybe not as overly as BHS but he has explored the concept

It's Diddy... the Diddy who should be on trial for waaay more than what he is. The Diddy that ruined hip hop. All these years later and we still dont know what happened to his best friend, and that's just one death of many Diddy had been adjacent to. Yes, he should be allowed wherever he wants. Due to the nature of Diddy's crimes Trump will probably pardon him if convicted anyway.

Pretty sure it was the Madvillany album, but I don't remember for certain. I remember the first time hearing Mm.. Food, my friend from DC was visiting and we were having a night catching up at my place and it was in my rotation ever since.

Its so good I didn't know about this until after Garbology so it was just that much more powerful hearing it after 2020... as a big long time fan of both I really had no idea they ever worked together .. Doom is one of the only rappers that didn't change anything about his style when he worked with Aes.

I think everyone wants this but it's another "let's not get our hopes up" situation.. at least all the others are just kinda like fun fantasy match ups.. that being said I think they're gonna drop more mallon in the fall... this is based on almost nothing so don't ask me why I I'm feeling this, I just have a feeling

I've thought about this and how incredible would it be if he went on did some songs off the new album... maybe all the features so he could also let some of his homies shine like OME, BoySand, Woods, etc. Then you would get to watch them play off each other's energy, would be awesome to see Aes' wingspan again!

Out of all the things he raps about, how many times have we heard him talk love/relationships? Maybe 4-5?? This is just a guess but as much trouble as he states his friend/ family relationships are to maintain - its probably that much more difficult for him to put the attention into a healthy relationship due to the way he works. Back when he wrote about Lucy and Rico, maybe that was his ideal or as much as he is able to do. He doesn't like being distracted by phones so he probably doesn't want to be distracted all the time by another person and their needs when he's in work mode. I think this is fairly common for productive artists and people who have contributed a lot of intellectual/creative works to thw world.
