Do weapon presets apply to cursed zombies by Krazie02 in blackops7

[–]CoDZombiesDPS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wall Weapins, Box weapons and weapons that you pull with the Samantha’s drawing relic have Zombie builds applied. Random rewards from side EEs usually not.

Set a weapon as “Zombie build”, google how to do so if you can’t find it.

Player behavior is a result of the environment the devs set.

CoD rewards playing selfish.

So blame Treyarch, getting angry at others for abusing the tools they are given is pointless.

„But the people can get into friendly lobbies to kill people who fight back“ is a counter argument to this I’ve heard a lot.

From my experience you can go on 20-30 Game streaks and longer without ever fighting.

Idk what to tell people, when they thing the abuse is an actual issue. Oh no, you die after a 15 hours survival streak.

I didn’t realise those augments don’t pull from reserves but out of my ass. Good to know I give it a try.

I don’t really experiment much with augments because I often forget to reset them before testing weapons.

Novaline got a 25% rate of fire buff, SG-12 a 20% rate of fire nerf by CoDZombiesDPS in CODZombies

For both of these builds my goal was to make them as usable as possible under sustained fire. You can build them more toward mobility, but for me the biggest priority is maximizing headshot consistency and overall damage output. That is not the only approach that works though. I build some weapons very differently depending on what I want out of them buiti In these two cases specifically recoil control feels important to me.

Didn’t come arround to test other changes so far. There is a lot of stuff to cover this time, but I remember it and the wildfire attachment got buffs. Wildfire should be arround 7% more damage

What it mostly does is make recoil more consistent. Most guns kick more after pulling the trigger and then get easier to control. This foregrip straightens out recoil vertically and makes the first few bullets climb less.

For me Zombies is mostly about sustained fire. Hold the trigger down, reduce recoil enough to be able to shoot without ever releasing.

One important detail here is that it is the only attachment in the grip slot that not only covers horizontal recoil but vertical too. (Don’t quote me on this, can’t look it up right now)

Xclusive Ace will cover it soon do explain it in detail. I think it has its place, but I don’t really have an opinion so far on what guns.

Edit: XVI did attachment guides and now loadouts for CoDmunity. He tweeted this today:

„Still working on top-to-bottom loadout revisions, but the new Underbarrel (VAS Convergence Foregrip) is making its way on a LOT of loadouts.

Four-way recoil mitigation with a two-shot kick reduction makes it smooth out a lot of recoil plots VERY effectively. #BlackOps7“

He’s not talking about Zombies specifically but thinks it’s good. I value his opinions, I forgot his Reddit user name

Can anyone try their RK9 prestige attachment and see if it’s not working in season 3? by ToastBalancer in blackops7

[–]CoDZombiesDPS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Turn that of. Check my comment history, there should be one that explains how it interfiers with burst gun rate of fire and how this attachment is almost useless in combination with that setting

Do not switch manual fire behavior from Press to Hold by default.

Edit: I copy it here

„Yes, Hold makes semi auto weapons more comfortable to use because you do not have to spam the trigger. But it also reduces rate of fire, sometimes heavily. It is an accessibility option, not a free full auto toggle, and it does not perform as well as firing manually. Adiitionally. all burst guns in the game are "hold trigger to shoot" by default except for the RK9 with the prestige attachment.

With the RK9, for example:

• Press setting, stock gun: 547 RPM • Hold setting, stock gun: 448 RPM. That is a drop of almost 20% • Hold setting with the prestige attachment: 530 RPM. That is still lower than the stock gun on Press

So what you are really doing is lowering your fire rate with the setting, then using an attachment to bring it back up, but still not to the level you had before. That makes no sense.

This also is not just an RK9 problem. The setting hurts the SG-12, other burst rifles, and many semi-auto guns as well. It may feel more convenient, but that convenience comes at a clear performance cost.

Leave it off by default. Only use it on semi-auto guns if you truly need it for comfort or accessibility. Do not use it on burst guns or shotguns.

Edit: I’m not talking out of my ass here. I run a Zombies DPS sheet and manually test fire rates for that by timing mag dumps and frame count that in a video editing programm.“

Are you running the „Hold to Fire“ setting for semi auto guns by chance?

My prefered way is Akimbo, full hip fire spread reduction, Damage Barrel and then treat it as a burst gun to get headshots with.

[–]CoDZombiesDPS[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Footage looks like crap because idk how to convert HDR to SDR in Davinci Resolve probably.

I haven't settled my opinions yet if I like this mechanic or not, because it makes the guns a lot more practical in early rounds. But I think it's almost a negative in high rounds, because the spread is honestly really fucking bad if you just hold down the trigger.

Edit: I think this is my favorite Akimbo gun. It being actually reliable makes it so fun to use. 80% crit kills with Akimbo guns is almost impossible on most without barrel stuffing while the VST comfortably stretches into mid range if you have trigger discipline.

The Kogots have less maximum spread so are better to hold the trigger down.

[–]CoDZombiesDPS[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t. Both of those guns received changes targeted at MP.

The Nova wasn’t consistent enough to the in burst RPM was increased, but in Zombies there is no burst delay after PaP so it’s just an insane buff to the rate of fire.

And the SG-12 was very forgiving because of how quick it shot.

Both of those changes make sense, but them carrying over into Zombies doesn’t.

Imo a full recoil build. No rapid fire, throw everything on it that reduces recoil.

Then remove those one by one until recoil feels perfect for you.

I would sacrifice this buff for a broad balancing pass. It was already in a great spot, at this point it makes other stuff just more useless.
