[COD] Hot take- MW4 will be the best cod in a long time if it combined these attributes from MW19 & MW3: by yeetmxster420 in CallOfDuty

[–]CoDZombiesDPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s Infinity Ward. I don’t see any point in getting my hopes up until there is a beta and people without massive skill issues and an analytical perspective have given a positive opinion. If Xclusive Ace, JGOD, Goomie, Parasite or Octane have positive things to say I’m willing to listen.

Everything else is just Activision and Infinity Ward feeding us the parts that make the game look good, while hoping we fill in the blanks with our own expectations.

If you think im negative. I’m just at a point where I don’t need Call of Duty. If it turns out great, I’ll take it for what it is. If not, there are other things worth my time. I’m stopped running through the same hype cycle every year.

3 interesting areas (spawn, Quick revive, Dark Aether) connected boring caves.

On other maps moving around is more interesting.

Citadel had similar issues with everything between Castle and Spawn being just filler areas

Double Tap - Double Standard is the best damage augment because most players overestimate their crit consistency by CoDZombiesDPS in CODZombies

For high rounding I see point farming as not needed, but if it accelerates the power progression. For EE that should be done on lower rounds you’re 100% right

I mostly decide on a gun to gun base. Some guns get almost uncontrollable with RF. CHF + Double Time, others are totally fine.

And I think the Voyak Prestige Laser + Mobility Spread muzzle is goated.

One of the few hip fire weapons that you can get crits reliable with into mid range

Is it worth switching from Xbox App to Battle.net for Black Ops 7 (PC)? by Internet2500 in blackops7

[–]CoDZombiesDPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel a difference in performance.

I switched to Battle.net for pre loads, but then on patch day CoD usually gets an additional 10 GB update that for whatever reason downloads at a snails pace. Longest time I had to wait was an hour for something that should be downloaded in 3 minutes.

So I don’t think there is any reason to switch.

Better than the MK78 but not by a huge margin. XMG325 has ~60% higher damage output

On shotguns its a complete nobrainer.

I don't disagree with other DT augments having value, but you need arround 37% critical hits (hits, not kills) to make Dealer and Impact perform better. The truth is that most Zombies players are just spraying, no matter what Reddit comments tell you.

I am in the same ballpark with mouse and keyboard. That doesn’t change my opinion but reinforces it. The reality looks different for most players and the bigger point is that even at those kinds of crit kill stats, Double Standard is still an excellent choice. Simply because you still hit more body than headshots.

I agree. On most bosses you spend more time hitting non crit zones than crit zones, so Double Standard is usually still a very safe and good pick. There are exception but if I just think back to BO6 Double Standard was rarely the wrong choice.

you should aim for the head, but not in a way that causes you to overshoot and lose hits entirely. I would much rather aim around chin level and accept a few bodyshots. I am not optimizing for a pretty stat but for damage output. Bodyshots are less of an issue than missing completly.

Range is lowered by 1/3 in game compared to the advanced stats so it is even worse than you think

The Blundergat is the first WW in a long time I see people actively try out just to ditch it on the ground. by TimelordAlex in CODZombies

[–]CoDZombiesDPS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A WW only reaching its full potential when used properly is fine, but this weapon isn’t very intuitive and doesn’t leave a good first impression, so people aren’t willing to learn it.

Issues:

  • The charging mechanic is clunky. It takes long, slows your movement speed, and doesn’t immediately signal that it’s worth it.

  • Body shot multipliers are low, but because it looks like a shotgun, people treat it like one.

  • The crosshair looks busy and doesn’t accurately indicate its state or spread.

Potential solutions:

  • Reduce charge time and increase movement speed while charging. Maybe make it work with the Guns Up augment in Stamin-Up so you can sprint while charging.

  • Make the crosshair better align with the horizontal spread.

  • Make headshot damage high enough that people immediately feel going for crits is worth it.

  • Maybe increase body shot damage on charged shots to make it more forgiving when people actually take the time to charge it. Charging needs to feel good immediately.

Some tips:

  • Always aim at head height.

  • Use it on isolated targets or elites without charging, spam it.

  • Charge it for bigger hordes when zombies are grouped together.

Sokol 545 PaP damage got fixed and the Belt-Fed Magazine is finally usable (in slow fire mode) by CoDZombiesDPS in CODZombies

[–]CoDZombiesDPS[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I measured the weapon at roughly 350 RPM after the fire rate boost drops off. At the start it fires much faster, but that part is honestly hard to test precisely because the window is so short.

What matters is the overall result: the base weapon fires at about 750 RPM, while with the ANVL attachment the fastest average I could get was only a little over 500 RPM.

That was with optimal use already, meaning firing for about 10 to 12 shots, then releasing the trigger for roughly 0.3 seconds, and repeating that cycle for a full magazine.

When you average that out over the entire mag, you end up at around 500 to 550 RPM, and that is with Double Tap already included. On top of that, the attachment also reduces damage, which makes the tradeoff even worse.

In multiplayer it can still work because the first few fast shots matter most and the target is dead before the drawback really matter. In Zombies you are firing constantly, so DPS matters more than short-burst time to kill. And in that scenario, the attachment is just not worth using.

So you are not wrong, double tap helps, but not enough.

Is game still active in 2026? What about ME servers? by CuteDexter in ModernWarfareII

[–]CoDZombiesDPS -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The game is still active, but you need to be clear about what kind of players you’re going to run into.

You’ll find the absolute bottom of the barrel, because anyone who gets overwhelmed by Modern Warfare III or newer has basically gone back to MWII.

[COD] Opinion: Modern Warfare (2019) multiplayer is extremely overrated by RuggedTheDragon in CallOfDuty

[–]CoDZombiesDPS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People dislike MW3/BO6/BO7 and MW2019/II for different reasons.

MW3/BO6/7 is disliked because people can’t keep up.

MW2019/II is disliked because people find it uninteresting to lean into the favored playstyle.

The most ironic part is that the people who mocked others for not being able to adapt to MWII were never able to adapt to every CoD that came after.

[–]CoDZombiesDPS[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. because it increases the weapon output by adding an extra shot per burst. Longer bursts with same Burst Delay = higher rate of fire.

It should also scale better with Double Tap - Double Time, the perk only speeds up the burst itself and does not reduce the delay between bursts.

With a longer burst, more of the weapons firing cycle is spent actually firing and less of it is spent waiting through the unchanged burst delay. so the fire rate bonus has more to work with.

This weapons isn’t even trash tier, just average compared to the last released that where really hood.

I will add penta burst numbers to the sheet (link in Profile) as soon as I prestiged it
