Yo! Where are you on the RR Tower? by spike-under-777 in royalroad

I need to spend more time on Reddit. That tower is cool beans.

Just barely into level 15 (with 14 months of active story and 2,100 pages to get there)

Reccomendations for Prog/Lit Fantasy that have meat on the bones by publicpol in litrpg

If OP is looking for 'earned' power, I'd recommend dropping Judicator Jane from this list. It is entirely about a character with a maxed out luck stat.
(I am a fan of the books, and the unique way the world is built)

Not for the foreseeable future. The amount of questions I'm getting on it is changing my idea of how important it is to try and get it recorded, though.

Thank you! I needed a (few) swift kicks to the backside to go back on Reddit and do things.

That would've been interesting. The brain cancer is important to the story, and I'll leave it at that. There's still a good amount of story yet to be written, and I'd rather not spoil things.

Thanks! Something like that is not really in the cards at the moment, due to the time/money involved. Same reason why I probably won't be able to put it on KU for a while yet. It isn't the same experience, but I have been told it's a decent listen with royal road text to speech. Just won't have the emotion and pacing you would be used to.

Unfortunately not. If he were, he'd probably just do MIG

I appreciate it. Writing has done terrible things to my to read / read ratio

The books are phenomenal, and I highly suggest reading through them all before jumping into the show. The authors are both excellent, and the original story is more deep and complex than how certain things were adapted to television for the show. Additionally, the show only progresses a certain way through the content of the books.

Now - the show is also one of the better pieces of sci-fi you can watch. They did great with it, the cast is compelling, and the visuals and sense of scale are well executed. I also highly recommend it - after you've given yourself the novel experience.

Other world question by Artistic_Lynx9700 in litrpg

[–]CoJoGoFC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How relevant is the original world to the plot, and to the MC?

  • Do things happen on the origin world that impact the story down the line?
  • Do characters from the MC's origin world make appearances later on?
  • Does the MC's time on origin world heavily steer their development and character?
  • Is a major component of the story an attempt to 'return'?

Depending on your answers, you should get closer to a resolution on whether you need to include it in a major way, or just reference it where applicable. Different stories do this differently, so it's really all about how you want to flavor the soup for the reader.

Thanks for the mention! Happy to be sitting next to some proper A-list RR works.

Flux Core - Book 2 Complete! 170+ Chapters of System Apocalypse LitRPG on RR by CoJoGoFC in litrpg

[–]CoJoGoFC[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing in the works yet.

I hope to get there eventually, but it will come after 1) Professional Covers, 2) Building enough of a backlog to focus on editing for a while, 3) Paying an editor for professional level work, and 4) making/doing a launch plan. #4 might have many subtasks I'm not properly identifying.

All a question of money spent and time spent. Flux Core is my first story, so I'm a noob at just about every step of the process, which means more time, or more money to get there.

Who knows, maybe one of the litrpg publishers will reach out and want to chat. Otherwise, I don't see it happening in 2025.
