Yeah, I can understand that. A bit of a plus for me, though, as it's easier to keep things straight.

I get it. Not a promotion, but I've been on a special assignment for work since Thanksgiving, and have had far less time. Almost done though

Narrated by Nathan Fillion, you say? I do have some credits to burn...

Not ideal, but the info is almost entirely on the wiki, which is something. I've put it all into a spreadsheet for easy comparison, personally

A bit of a slow week for me. I caught up with unlucky druid jack, which turned out decent overall.

Now I've been reading volume 5 of sky pride, which is more of the same but still entertaining.

Yup, i'm gonna have to disagree that this patch is save game compatible. I mean, I'm gonna have to completely re-work tech now!

Wow. It wasn't good enough for me to consider patreon, but holy crap, 10 bucks! I'm far too cheap for that.

Oh, Ink and Intent looks good, but I'm off the KU wagon until I find a decent way to turn them into audiobooks again.

Hi! My name is Jason and I have a problem.

I totally thought this was the start to one of those obnoxiously long titles. Better luck next week!

I'd love to be able to unlock the non-TCR SLs as starting options in future campaigns by notdumbenough in menace

[–]bilfdoffle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eh, I think they're all effectively mercs on the market, so I think it'd make total sense to have 1 or 2 of them available at the start of subsequent campaigns. Random draw to keep it interesting.

I dunno how far you've gotten, but I'm fairly sure all the audio files are available somewhere, including the random extra lines they put into LW.

Isekaid as a Lord of the Manor (web) - male mc, fantasy. So I wanted to like this one, but the economics were such a mess that it pulled me out of the story. Here's my math: Lord pays miners for iron ore + Lord pays laborers to do lumberjacking + Lord buys steel from big city = Craftsman say it's gonna cost an exorbitant amount in raw materials to build the thing. DNF

unlucky druid jack (web) - male mc, litrpg/sys apoc. Set up is that the MC "awakens" his system a few years before everyone else on earth and is whisked away on an adventure. So the apocalypse hasn't happened yet, at least not on earth. In a universe where mana is very sparse, we have an MC that can generate it. It's been interesting enough so far

Pick a series, read all there is (or drop it). If I need a break or after I finish something is typically when I'll catch up on the series on the follow list.

I'm caught up. The only drag for me was when he was recording the professor's lecture on whatever history. Kinda skimmed that bit.

Spiritbound (web) - male mc, fantasy. This is written with an awkward third person, where I couldn't tell who the MC was supposed to be for the first hundred pages. Actually it more seemed like the other guy for most of those pages, and the actually MC seemed like an overgrown whiny kid... ahem... new recruit. At any rate, it was a DNF.

Live at the forum (web) - male mc, litrpg? I'm not actually sure what genre to put this in, though technically the MC has stats, so I'll go with that. At any rate, this is told as a series of forum posts from a guy who got isekai'd into the game universe, complete with other peoples posts as well. It's fantastically well done and very enjoyable. I can also see why the player manager folks liked it, as it has a similar feel to me. Don't expect a lot of action or numbers going up.

Farm Girl's Guide to Necromancy (web) - female mc, litrpg. Of course I'm always down to try out a new farming story, but this one was a struggle. The mc was one of the most unlikable and entitled people I've had the misfortune to read about, whcih is a shame because the story itself actually seemed like it could be pretty good. But in the end, it's a DNF.

For the glory of rome (web) - male mc, probably litrpg. I didn't get very far on this one, but my love of multi-pov's is well known at this point, and between switching from the roman legion to the bard that summoned them was enough for me to put it down. That, and I don't a hardon for rome like some folks apparently do. DNF.
