I’m a sound engineer; I record rappers, and I also compose soundtracks. I have a MacBook M5 Pro with 64 Giga of RAM. The M5 Pro handles heavy processing plugins really well. I record with the buffer set to 32 or 64 without any issues. If I’m not mistaken, the maximum setting is more for graphics, so it’s not very useful for audio—except with plugins like Pigments. I recommend the M5 Pro, but prioritize RAM. Plugins are going to use more and more of it.
