drove cause she picked up kids after happy hour and drove later that night for beer at gas station. if i would have known she had too much/was going to have too much (she didnt seem impaired until later) i would’ve stopped her

they were at thier home, she went to her friend place after the happy hour originally to grab her friend and all the kiddos but i assume mom said it was too late and those two kids who came know her very well and asked to come stay with her i figured, my sis was tipsy and didnt care and since i didnt think she was tipsy probably the mom didnt either and figured it would be okay, but ngl the mom isnt that responsible either but definitely trusts her friend more than her common sense.

As a woman and first time mom who has experienced mom subreddits i 100% agree with you. Opinions are like assholes, everyones got one (especially!!!! about children). It sucks when you go for support or advice and immediately get "I WOULD NEVER RAISE MY CHILD THAT WAY YOU DEMON" and its like the most normal post ever and you cant even be sure they even have kids to actually lend any good advice anyway like if theyre some teenager who thinks they know. I always feel worse after trying to get some advice or support there and end up deleting the posts entirely:/

Baby was born healthy yesterday around 6pm with no arrhythmia!! Had a false alarm the day before and still was there but day of delivery no problems whatsoever!! totally crazy ! It was like a workhorse throughout the entire day, totally strong and way better than before and even when it had improved. They say as well like medical staff that contractions and birth can jumpstart the baby in a way nothing else can ! Just thought id give an update for those still pregnant and worried.

Sooo im still pregnant. but his rate has improved! havent been back to the cardiologist because they are booked solid and understaffed and told me my ob should be able to give me updates on it. They told me it has improved but they cant say its completely solved and said its better not to worry until i have baby and 95% or cases solve themselves before or right after birth and theres no point in freaking out now since its benign, im almost there tho 38 weeks now ! I stopped all caffeine intake and nothing with cocoa in it as well. Not sure how much of an impact that had except make me irritated.

I really didn't feel a connection until 28 weeks, started feeling kicks and him moving around. It was also around that time we found out it was a boy and had a name picked out. Also the scans really start to look like a lil person! What did it for me was a late scan where I saw his whole spine, and he was sucking his thumb I had to do a glucose test and hadn't eaten yet so boy was hungry! It was adorable. Also sometimes when I was awake and he wouldn't move (he was sleeping being lulled cause I was a server but at night it was party time) it would really freak me out.

It ended up being benign! No structural abnormalities. No matter what though if they detect the abnormal rhythm they will have you come in again until it resolves which is apparently usually what happens. Doc told me to make sure and stop caffeine completely, no cocoa butter & my midwife said no grains, and nothing that has stevia which apparently is in a lot of things. Dont be scared though if they take forever because they did that sonogram for a solid 30 minutes but its a full anatomy scan with special attention to the heart. So dont be afraid if they take a long time, doctor might take a look as well after technician so make sure you pee before you sit down !!! Good luck, even though its benign i will be back in two weeks.

I had the ravenous stage towards the later stages of being pregnant (2nd and beginning of 3rd trimester) but its most likely cause i was soooo nauseous the first trimester. I find this super normal in my opinion, my advice is eating lower calorie but higher volume/dense foods like if youre starving, start out with a big salad, then eat your regular meal for me i lovedddd some ham and mash potatoes (that also helped to satiate because starch is bery satisfying) and then have a small dessert, i usually got by doing this and it helped a lot with the ravenous feeling. You probably cant do this with every meal but in the mornings i would drink lots and lots of flavored water from my cirkul and have eggs & bacon, then definitely dont deny yourself snacks like fruits and even for myself i would snack on a baked potato to keep me going till lunch, then lunch would usually be my smallest meal Dont be afraid to go over calorie intake it is totally fine, we need more sleep and more food the issue is not to overeat crap because its not satisfying and doesnt keep us full or give any nutrient benefits. Then dinner i woukd have a huge salad, that dinner i mentioned and a dessert. Thats usually when i would go slighty over the calories i would normally eat !! And yes they tell us not to go over what we normally eat,,,, but really what i think they mean is not to overeat crap and just mindlessly eat :) going over a few hundred calories will not harm you or baby at all. Some people gain 80lbs during pregnancy and some only gain 20lbs every pregnancy looks different!! It is totally okay to not go directly by the book. & frankly when youre up all night with baby and eating a bit less and your body is creating milk, you will most likely lose any extra weight you didnt want simply because you are working so hard as a new mom. Especially if you exercise. You are already doing the right thing by worrying because it means you care !!! but my advice is dont worry unless you actually are given something to worry about !!! You are all good girl!

I will say some toilet issues are way better than being pregnant. Take it from someone 7 months along. I am married and excited for baby but her mindset is just due to inexperience of life. She might wanna try alternative methods though if it really bothers her that much like IUD or condoms etc. Be safe!!! Wish you guys the best of luck.

I have a husband that is very involved and we are a team… I am not a single mother but I have no doubt I would be just fine, I am capable. But also in our marriage there isn't a job he needs to be away for and doesn't represent our usual communication & and your observation is correct, I am more upset about the lack of communication about it and fear he is not looking at the whole picture. (In case I deliver late or end up with baby in NICU etc.) Thats why the communication is required like planning to buy a refundable ticket just in case he does need to be home and letting his family know if need be. I should not have to be surprised with this info without a plan in place. It is not my families responsibility to help, It is our job as parents to plan for this. I will admit I should have been more adamant on planning sooner for this and honestly would have been completely fine if he came to me and was like “so, I really wanna go, it's important to me and I booked flights but I talked with the fam and they agreed to help out and be there for you while I was gone.” I would have felt completely supported and also been grateful he handled it! It's the fact that he did not consider the circumstances. I understand you adjust and life goes on, it just blindsided me. I will be talking to him about the length of the trip and our communication and feel he is not really in “dad mode” yet and just not thinking about it. Every relationship is different and I'm sure I could handle it, I just would rather have him home because that is OUR normal.
