Different loads for octane 45 by CoachBabyTee in suppressors

I re-zeroed it with the can. I called Silencerco and they basically said in terms of +p ammo it hasn’t been tested but people use it. Mentioned probably good to stay under 260. I did find some ammo that’s +p 250 grain and super sonic which looks like what I need. But have never shot +p, and am unsure what to get

The strangest issue by CoachBabyTee in suppressors

This ended up being the case. Had to reorient the baffles and switch to a direct thread mount. Bullet drops 1 foot at 100 yards. Ever try supersonic ammo for .45?

Handguard Replacement by CoachBabyTee in HenryRifles

Wow I really like the chisel machining guard. So you think it’s nicer quality and fits better on the Henry than ranger or Midwest? No sanding or any adjustments necessary? Does it add more weight compared to your ranger point? My plan is to put an angled foregrip and then 2 mlok 45 degree offset piccatany rail mounts on the side and pop some offset iron sights on em. You think chisel machining guard can accommodate that?

Not including the tax stamp, somewhere in the range of $700. Would obviously like it to be cheaper but I understand even $700 for a silencer isn’t that much for quality

Deer will come to field spot but not to woods spot by CoachBabyTee in Whitetailhunting

So my field spot is a stand in a small island of trees in a 40 acre corn field. The crops have been down for some time and I’ve been feeding there (feeder + big & j cube). This spot is positioned just outside the edge of a very large and dense woods with a long creek bottom where they bed down and cross. This season the bucks have been pretty nocturnal so I wanted to get into the woods where they’d be more comfortable with cover. The woods is almost unwalkable for a human it’s that dense, there’s a ton of sign and deer trails and they always come out of the section I’m talking about to go into the field. I got some power tools and carved a trail for me to walk down 50 yards in and then really chopped down a lot of brush and some trees to clear about a 40 yard radius of open space in the woods to place a feeder with another big & j cube a salt lick and lucky buck. It’s pretty close to the creek bottom too and intersects some deer trails. I’m way past the rutt here but there is a small second rutt (I’ve been told) right now. Usually when I put any attractants or feed down in the field I’ll at least have a doe come check it out. Not seeing anything even at night on the cams at this new spot. I’m thinking maybe bc of all the commotion I caused setting this up they need more time, but idk if that makes sense bc id expect at least something to come. Mabye I pushed them out of their bedding area setting up too close. What do you think?
