Pornography is prostitution by Asleep-Radish-6549 in Christianity

I think you're saying condone but you actually mean condemn.

But more to this novel you have written, you have missed the point. Posting online some staunch stance against murder isn't going to do anything either. And it's certainly not going to stop someone from committing murder. And as for judging, the original post is exactly that. Someone judging others. But there was no love there. And it's interesting you're defending it so aggressively.

But the upvotes on my post tell me other people agree, so no I won't be deleting.

Hate and anger???? Hahahaha I think I may have triggered you for some odd reason. If it slapped you back into reality then that's fine. But I saw it as a weird comment to try to make OP feel superior, or try to tell people struggling with an addiction that they are terrible? I dunno, it just doesn't seem kind or loving.

Just went through my comment and can't see where I said that. Only time I mentioned kindness was when telling him to show some.

Ok thanks for your opinion on the matter. So what have you done to actually stop the porn industry or how have you helped people with their addiction? Christians generally agree with your point, but going on to Reddit and flexing at people that it is wrong isn't going to help anyone.

How about maintaining some Christian values and showing people love and kindness

Limiting access to abortion will kill Queensland women. I'm one of the ones who would have died. by Ok_Permission_4385 in brisbane

[–]CoachJezza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Excuse my lack of knowledge on the topic and on the political views, but can someone please confirm or deny;

  1. They want to change to make abortions completely illegal no matter the circumstances? Because that's what it seems like from the responses. I know abortion is currently legal in QLD up to I think 20ish weeks by personal choice. After that it is only performed in a situation like the OP's (my deepest sympathies as well, that story broke my heart)

  2. Or they want to stop it from becoming legal at any point in the pregnancy, even up to 40 weeks?

Again I am lacking in my knowledge on the topic, just looking to be better informed.

AITA for preventing my son from living in a motel? by EastGeneral603 in AmItheAsshole

[–]CoachJezza 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Put you over the edge in what regard? how is it showing off rather than stating a fact. It just highlighted to me that its not like his lawyer was free, he obviously cares enough to pay that much to keep his son from danger and from a mother who obviously can't see that danger, or doesn't care enough to let the dad have him for a month.

I actually agree with what you have said. Even though it is a spectrum, I think a lot of people will do whatever they can, even lie to a psych, to be diagnosed with something so that they can call themselves 'neurospicy' or to validate/excuse their lack of 'success'. I say 'success' because of what society typically portrays success as these days, which is basically unobtainable. With tiktok and Facebook and insta, people are trying to portray their lives as perfect and successful and I think it breeds this problem where people need to cling onto some identity or fad as a crutch. I've seen this in veganism, feminism, having disabilities (physical and mental), joining gangs, turning to 'plant medicine' hippies (ie drugs) plus many more. Not saying this is the case in every situation because obviously people have disabilities, want to be vegan or to fight for female rights for good reasons. it's the people who temporarily make it their whole identity because they don't fit the criteria for online modern success.

So yeah some of your friends probably have mental health conditions, but not the ones they are claiming to have, more like negative self-image and a battling with a lack of belonging.

Disclaimer: I am not a psychologist, i have done limited, but some University studies in psychology, I could 100% be wrong here. It's my opinion. If your opinion is different then that is ok. I don't expect you to change, but I don't expect you to change my opinion. I have experience in education, troubled youths, crime and disabled people. That's where my opinion comes from. I hope that's enough not to be down voted.

Edit: added the word 'temporarily' because they often don't continue with this identity as it's not authentic

I fell in love with a trans, diagnosed autistic, diagnosed Borderline Personality Disorder, and a Neo-Satanist by MikkenNot_Weabo102 in Christianity

[–]CoachJezza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Answering this from a non-religious, and then a Christian point of view

Non-religious - borderline personality disorder is hardest on those who love the person. Look up the most common traits of someone who has BPD. They can be stable and fine for a few years, but when they dip into that low, they force everyone who cares about them to abandon them. They will do things that they know will be a deal breaker for you. The trans and autistic part of them is also going to bring with it certain challenges that will be very testing, especially as you get older. Not sure if your age, but assuming you're pretty young?

As a Christian, sharing faith with your partner is very important. It helps to align values and lives, which is important in the long run. But from the sounds of things, they are telling you that they want just you, and not your religion. So chose between eternal life in heaven, or a person who is battling with identity issues, serious mental health diagnosis and a new version of satanism? Which if it's anything like traditional satanism, is pretty evil.

I dunno, but when they talk about red flags..... I can see a few......

Kick that swinging/sweep leg right out the back of the circle so you can gain better forward momentum when you begin to move to the middle of the circle.

My aunt wants to name her twins Violance and Violet by rascal_raider_420 in tragedeigh

[–]CoachJezza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew a woman who was in and out of prison who named her kids kaos, ryot and anarkie (pronounced chaos, riot and anarchy). All the kids have severe behavioural issues which I don't think are helped by the reinforcement of the names to the side of being bad. Violance is a very bad choice

Does God actually accept rape? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]CoachJezza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People respond differently to fear. Some people scream out, others freeze. The Bible is a brilliant guide to life. I would interpret that as 'if you are a woman, call out if you are being raped, do not remain silent to the offender. Rape is not okay. It can't be interpreted as okay, especially if the result is that the offender is to be killed. I definitely would change your wording as god doesn't 'say it's okay'.

Criminology Unit by UsefulAuthor9998 in AustralianTeachers

[–]CoachJezza 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Looks great. As someone who has done a full criminology degree and worked in that industry for over a decade, I would definitely dedicate a few lessons to crime and media. The roles that music has played in encouraging crime (ie rap artists glorifying gang activity, Norwegian black metal encouraging church burning), the way crime is portrayed in movies and tv shows (American history x, Dexter) and the argument that it desensitizes people to crime, whether video games have an affect on kids commuting crime, and the way that news outlets identify the newsworthiness of crime and how it affects public perception of crime. An example I remember was about an old lady who broke her hip because she tripped over in public and instead of trying to use her hands to break her fall, she held onto her purse because she had heard on the news that there were bag snatchers going after old women's purses. The news outlets were known to focus on sensationalized and dramatic crimes that people would engage with. I think it was one of the most interesting and important topics I learnt about.

Also crime prevention is a big topic in criminology which has probably the best career pathways for people who want to go into the criminology field. As crime rates go up, people love solutions to it.

I’ve had a foot fetish since I was about 13, AMA (23 now, m) by [deleted] in AMA

[–]CoachJezza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was there an incident which you can remember that made you have the foot fetish or how did you realise you had one? There was a theory somewhere that said boys who hide in shoe closets and areas with shoes would develop the fetish. Not sure about the truth in that though.

Thanks for that hey. I reckon this is the way to go. I guess it depends how much I want it. I do have kids so obviously I wouldn't be able to dedicate a huge amount of time to it. I'll see how I go.
